  • Bowie-Buzzing-Brilliant!

    Best Ballad.

  • one of his best!

  • Five years of David Bowie is 50 years of music. The rest is silence.

  • A musical GOD!!

  • Can we PLEASE stop bringing up Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber! I'm so tired of hearing about those two. Gaga is a wannabe copycat and Bieber is a little girl who wishes he were as sexy as David Bowie!

  • uve gone along way since bridlington spa .. a genious ... not forgetting the legend sir mick ronson and trever bolder the spiders :}

  • I can't believe that this amazing song only has a little over 100,000 views and GaGahhh has millions... The human race is soon to be extinct at this rate.

  • @AindaMais

... or Justin Drew Bieber. My God, how the music quality in general has fallen the last decade.

  • ... He reminds me of the babe :D

  • @MissMaddiem00 WHAT BABE? C;

  • @modbeatlefan The Sultan of Swat, the King of Crash, the Colossus of Clout, the Great Bambino

  • yeah i've seen this whole dvd, amazing, one of the greatest live shows i've ever seen

  • and you meet my fave chick! she rocks!

  • young , old he always has me mesmerized!

  • this never ceases to amaze it! i'm always left spcheeless

  • Bowie = Awesome.

  • His older voice fits this song so much more than when he was young.

  • @nhonho23

    No doubt about it... Yes!

  • dont beat placebo you want to be me i want to be you or vicevers

  • It was cold and it rained and I felt like an actor.

  • What a GREAT performance!!!

  • One of ma favorite songs

  • Listen folks...Placebos version is SHITE.

  • @hingamy you dont know what you are talking about, i forgive you

  • This is just great !, I like playing this song on guitar !

  • ganda onda!

  • amazing

  • His BEST song ever!

    Simply AMAZING!!!

  • Earl Slick on guitar?? After the Diamon Dogs tour Slick said if he ever saw Bowie again he'd knock him out - must have shook hands and made up like Gentlemen, well done chaps

  • @linclinc5 Slick played guitar for two years after the Diamond Dogs tour, he left just prior to Station to Station tour in '76 and rejoined Bowie for Lets Dance in '83 and spot duties ever since (inbetween Fripp, Gabrels and co).

  • @koncorde

Have I confused Slick with Ronno? This is all I could find...Re: Earl Slick - Strange Fascination

“There was so much chemical abuse going on that the communications kind of fell apart. Somehow David and I ended up having a falling out. I left the band early in ’76......." Which would be 2 years after DD and he re-joined for the 83 tour.

I'm still sure I've read that..I'll bop him... quote somewhere, but seems they cleared the air. Bowie post drugs minus corrosive Angie =nicer bloke

  • @linclinc5 The quote of chemical abuse was most def Slick. The angry at Bowie quote was (I think) a paraphrase of Stevie Ray Vaughn's anger at seeing the "Let's Dance" video.

Ronno and Bowie parted on good terms. Bowie later performed on Ronno's final album.

It's easy to mix up all the insanely good guitarits that Bowie has worked with. My favourite was Reeves Gabrels.

  • @Nedzorz1

I particularly liked Ronno because his guitaring was so integral to the major albums. I don't really like Bowie's stuff after Low (but that still leaves me with enough to last the rest of my life) Slick's solo on the live Panic in Detroit was amazing but I still love Ronno's Moonage Daydream, tho it isn't long enough. Can't understand why Ronno didn't want or get songwriter credit on Transformer - he did himself out of alot of money. Reed's twee pop songs on the VU and Nico album....

  • @Nedzorz1

....cont.....were ok but Transformer was another level and the standard is above anything Reed managed again. Ronno took a few words and a musical idea and worked them into entire songs, did the arranging and production and playing. Too modest to insist on composing credit thus giving it all to a spaced out drug addicted Reed...and of course the album still sells to every new generation. Perfect Day even being a no 1, Walk on the Wild Side getting many covers. Ronno died too young

  • davis is god.

  • He looks absolutely goreous here. And the song...I'd better shut up and listen and watch.

  • Here are the band intros...

  • My god, what a story David Bowie tells.

  • David Bowie just owned every one.

  • my all time favorite :)

  • David Bowie is a alien becouse he is too good!!!!

  • love this version. i gotta cover of this great song that i do not pretend to do justice to but i'd love your opinion and not mine. much love, amor, y paz

  • DAVID is and allways will be BOWIE! He is fab!!!!

  • My hero forever

  • Amazing x

didn't he have a heart attack or something in the middle of this tour??x

  • сколько не слушаю-не перестаю тащиться!!!!

  • "If the magnetic poles really flip there is not much we can do about it

but I still do everything Leonardo DiCaprio suggests."

    - Veronica Grey

  • dis song is cool and yes a bit depressin

  • ..чувак жжёт всегда...............

  • So very depressing.

  • Please when you comment do not repeat the song that is so cheezzzzeeeeeeeey comment on the song or the artist

  • how could this anyone be this great?

  • it was cold and it rained so i felt like an actor...

  • This is David Bowie's song, and he's still as hot and sexy as the first time he sang it. Nobody else even comes close.

  • the gall of some people "oh i like Placebo's version better" then shouldnt that comment be better suited to that page? its a good cover, but show some respect for the thin, white duke...

  • I'm a placebo fan (huge as you can tell byy my name) but I think Placebos version of this is terrible!

  • @Signal1956 I'm a big big big fan of Placebo, and of course I admire Bowie, and I think you're right.

  • @Signal1956 You mean Ziggy Stardust.

  • My brain hurt like a warehouse,

it had no room to spare

I had to cram so many things

    to store everything in there

    And all the fat-skinny people,

    and all the tall-short people

    And all the nobody people,

    and all the somebody people

I never thought I'd need so many people!!!

  • heh,he sang it wrong=]

  • idiot. this is a DB song

  • it would never have been done by "PLACEBO" that some of you guys are saying you like better, if DB hadn't written it.! dont delude yourself about that

  • i'm in the front therefore i must be David Bowie. sexy and funny :-)

    love this song.

  • Comment removed

  • This is the openingtrack for the iggy Stardust album. I think it's the best opening of any album. So pure, so peaceful while it quite about terrible things.

  • August starts tomorrow.

  • Also check Marian Gold's(Alphaville) version from the album United. That's the first time I heard this song.

  • Great song's

  • Unfortunately, I don't know this song for five years but for... six years. And I still like it a lot.

  • Increíble, con tantos y tantos años de directo.

  • grrrrrrreeeeeaaaaat

  • These shows were really long. Almost 3 hours. We were seated right next to his buddy, Ray Davies. Bowie gave his mic to the audience wanting to know the correct pronunciation of "New Orleans" and some tourist really blew it and everybody booed. LOL Nobody sat the entire show.

  • sheer genius

  • tears in my eyes

  • XLnt!

  • David Bowie, the guy in the front, its so hard to have a fav song.

    All his songs are anthems

  • My God, you are so correct with that--and those anthems are to everyone, not just a few. That's one of the amazing things about him

  • my 6 yr old son loves him and I saw Bowie when I was 20 ! over 20 years ago !!!!

  • Bowie is one of the few artists that has gotten better with age. Not only has he managed to reinvent himself and stay fresh, but a lot of his music is timeless. I've always liked his music, but only recently realized just how good he really is.

  • absolute legend! will kill to see him preform live!

  • god i hope he tours again some day

  • timeless

  • A fine wine

  • Go David!!!!!! Bowieforever!!!!

  • Marry me

  • you again?

  • I was there. A2. I will love you forever! No... longer. My all time best track. You sang it just to me. Such class. Such style.

  • I haven't seen Bowie's performance more than 10 years, but this is way better than the original 1972 version, which I have been loving it since the original release. Bowie, you must have truly came from outer planet.

  • my dad used to sing this to me when i was younger every time i hear it, it reminds me of him

  • love this song....

  • Deze man/boy brengt jong en oud bij mekaar. Hoe mooi, hoe waanzinnig goed, 30jaar tijdverschil is voor David geen probleem... You cannot not LOVE HIM, OUR HERO!!!! ...THAT'S REALITY!!!!!

  • I don't know what you said first, but I totally agree with the last sentence. You can't not love this man.

  • translation4U: This man/boy brings young and older people together. How beautiful, how isane and great, a timegap of 30years is no problem for David... You can't NOT LOVE the man.
