no this is not fake. and yes it can work on this scale. however, like at 0:33 it jumped up and the magnets turned to a stopping point. plus even if you made a perfect track (spaceing of the magnets) it can only run a straight line, the moment a turn or curve up or down happened it would trow off the magnets, this only works on small scales and short distances, it more of a spring then anything. but alas it dont, and its just magnetic no gravity (other then holding the car down) making it move.

cool idea, not possible, the laws of physics simply do not allow for it. the "self starting is likely a function of the magnets pushing the vehicle away initially, the energy being demonstrated is coming from the operator every time he adjusts or resets the sled. over any further distance it would slow to a stop.

From what he's saying (and doing), it's just a "spring" system. you have to pull it back, to make it go forword. Sure, it will run forever, if, every time it reachs the end, you pull it back to the start point. The energy for the forword movment comes from the work it take to pull the thingy against the magnatic forces that have pushed it to the end of the line (and thus, loading up the "magnatic spring" again.

he does not need a rubber band. The track is magnetic and is repulsing on one end. So it just runs down the magnetic gradient. This gives me a great idea: just build the track out of less and less powerful magnets and you can fool people with a 5 times longer track.

This is actually one of the better demonstrations I've seen. Show me the circle track though. If it really works, there's no reason NOT to do so.

I saw a demo where a coffee can would roll up a short ramp under it's own power with no internal moving parts. Upon opening the can, you could see that there was a weight glued inside the curved wall creating an eccentric weight. If the can is placed on a ramp with the weight on the 10 o'clock position, the can would roll up the ramp until the weight fell to the 6 o'clock position. If you don't let the can roll beyond 180 degrees, it wouldn't be evident what is going on.

Well it just goes to show that permanent magnet energy can be harnessed.

Proof of concept, meaning it can be scaled up and still work. Even find improvements, by adding electromagnetic pulsing (bedini) type circuitry.

This is a small scale application that can be resized to be used for real energy.

possibly a circular track, instead of laying flat, could you rig it to run on its side around in a loop? like if it was going around a can of beans for example? Also, clever stuff, do you have any plans posted anywhere so we can "try this at home"? The point Invalid made was to keep people from poo pooing the rig, you simply reverse the orientaion 180 degrees and demonstrate it still runs. Interesting ideas.
