Today is my birthday. I've been up all night watching videos of Ronnie and missing him so much. Last year I was still SO sad on my birthday since he'd passed away just 6 days before. I'm so sad again this year. I grew up listening to him & I'm SO glad I finally saw him in concert 2 years ago. I've had (brain) cancer & I was devastated Ronnie lost his battle. I'll miss him forever and love him always.
By the way, my information was also confirmed by by Craig Goldy in an interview in early Fewbruary of this year. It is not the fault of those of us who know that some of you don't know. In fact Doug Aldrich and Bob Daisley have confirmed it in interviews too. It was also known that it was Simon Wright who lived with Ronnie and took care of him during his illness--not Wendy. That is why many of us despise her for her phoniness. Keeping his legacy alive? She's making money off him!

They had been living separate lives ever since. Wendy even has had a live-in boyfriend since the nineties. It was Simon Wright, not Wendy, who lived with Ronnie during his illness. I am in the business. That's why I know. Many of us do.

I lived in New England and remember ELF opening for T Rex. This is by far the best video tribute to him. Still mourning this man terribly. Dio's songs have always been part of many of us to get through a day. I don't think I ever went a week without playing Dio at home, the office, driving, etc. Now these songs take on a whole and deeper meaning. Dio 1942-2010.
You may be right, but Ronnie agreed to have the video taken while he was in the hospital getting treatment. He wanted to show that he was upbeat and fighting it. He was strong to the end. Many people with cancer don't even end up looking that good. I think if you did not know he had cancer he does not look much different than he normally would. If you watch the video from the Houston hospital these images are from Ronnie does not appear to be sick, he's actually pretty upbeat.
@jkaravis I agree with you. This is a tribute that wonderfully captures Dio from his younger days til his last. I think is beautiful that we see all the images were his life. LIfe incompasses all that is part of being human. Dio lived his humanity to its fullest, and he did so humbly; even to his last days. Dio 1942-2010.

What a beautiful slideshow and the perfect song! My only objection was that the last photo had to include his former (yes, former) wife. Sorry, I know it''s your tribute, but I just thought that the last clip should have been of Ronnie. For example, the photos in the hospital were sad, but they were some of the last we have of him.

Check out his 2008 interview right here on You Tube from 2008 with Eric Blair. They remained business partners and friends , but that was all. Wendy has had a live-in boyfriend for about twenty years also.
