  • Damn good song. I could so get shell to this. Great job yo

  • Fruit loops bitches!

  • what program did you use to make this with and is there a demo that is free?

  • dude let me tell you this: is AWESOME!!!!!! i love the beat is for smoked and almost dead brains. love it!

  • The mix sounds muddy when the wobble comes in. Try to eq-out some medium frequencies (140~260 Hz I think) where you don't need them. Too much sometimes is too bad.

    Tune is kinda happy :)

Keep doing it! May I ask what tools do you use?

  • Just route a tempo-synched LFO to your synth phase/filter/pitch or even better, something that we haven't thought of yet... and then hold down the note and automate the LFO speed (between 1/4 and 1/32 I guess) and see how dramatic you can make it happen.

While you're at it, throw that bassline through some distortion and plug the same LFO into the distortion.

  • @doriandouma Hey man, I really appreciate your input!! Check out some of my later tunes, especially "The Candyman Can [Dubstep Remix]".. I would love your input on any of my tunes proceeding this one. I've grown quite a bit, and I'm ABSOLUTELY still learning.. I look forward to more pointers.. thanks again!

  • you could make a thicker and cuttier wobble and play around with rate and pitch some. depending on what program you use i can give you tips

  • Not the type of drop I was expecting but really nice. :) Could you maybe check out my videos and gief feedback? I'm sort of new to this anyway. But once again, nice one.

  • i think it sounds sick good job it dosent sound like the normal dubstep i listen to but it still sounds fresh good job keep posting vids ill sub you x)

  • yeahhh make it more rough... unlike dubstep darksteps dark.. so like deep and roughs the way to go ;D keep em coming tho their great (thumbs up)!!

  • yo dude. if you wanna learn to play dubstep you should listen to this dj. his dj name is downspin. you can find his stuff on myspace. look him up. you'll love it

  • You just need a rough sound accompaning the bass.

  • @trompf thanks for the tip! Do you mean like a saw-type sound? that's the kind of "rough" I'm thinking of..

  • @TheZazProductions Yeah, like artists differ themselves from each other by what they use for that 'rough' sound. If you want a mad inspiration for the sound, listen to Cotti & Cluekid - Legacy

  • I just read contructive criticism so, its good just a little too much compresion. When I use reason I typically make a combinator and route each tom and kick through a compressor in an individual mixer spot. This way the entire song isn't compressed but you still get fat sounding drums. Also, route a kick drum through a vocoder and switch it to EQ mode using an 8 or 4 band, really fattens it up.

  • Aaaawesome, thanks for the tips, man. Any information is good information.

  • @jbluvdub Heey I tried that trick with putting my kick through the vocoder on EQ mode and DAMN that gave it some punch!! Thanks again for the tip!

  • @TheZazProductions No probs man! I use that program a lot (about the past 6 years) so if you need any tips or anything feel free to email me, I love sharing the knowledge

  • Ahh the infamous boiling ether combi patch! nice use of it man, good track

  • Thanks, man I appreciate it. I'm using Reason 4. I agree, I need more variation (less repetitive notes) and most definitely a heavier bassline.. well.. a heavy one period, haha.

  • ye man, like it! some variation in the melody would be good also i was kinda expecting a heavier bassline, what software u usin
