  • I love this man!!! =) We have so much in common. I want to meet him so bad but that probably wouldn't be such great idea. He might turn up missing. lol Kidnapping!

  • Please see "The Day Paul Newman Died" on YouTube

  • You know, this man can just do no wrong.

He's almost too good to be true. I'm sure he has his faults (none that are visable) and foibles like anybody else- but it's hard to remember that he's (almost) human. I fell in love with him when I saw "The Sting" at the age of eight, in 1974. I respect the way he's lived

his private life. You certainly never hear anything about him in the press or gossip columns. I respect his politics, intellect, and creativity. I just adore him.

  • i hav loved Robert Redford since i was 14. i saw the Great Gatsby. He still gets me every time.Woulld love to meet him before another legend is gone.

  • OMG.Bob is one of the looking men ever born. I mean that charm, charisma, that smile. He is so fine...even at 72. He could get it. I dream of being Lola van Wagenen often. He could push me around on a cloud anytime. Oh to have been born 40 years earlier.

  • This guy, tries really hard to show off his intellectual, professional and political inner depth, but I just can't really pay much attention. He's so fucking good looking, he turns on obscure areas of my brain, that I didn't even know existed, leading to ideas completely unrelated to environmental activism/ film festivals/ political campaigns.

  • you're absolutely right!!! :))

  • you are so right. he could get it at 72...oh to have been born 40 years earlier.

  • I'm British. And I love Robert Redford's voice. Very distinctive and VERY American. What a classic.

  • Robert Redford, my first film I saw was Butch Casidy and the Sundance Kid. I was young however; he was always handsome..through the years...and even now. Hes a mans ..man..very, very handsome, and looks like a model..and no wonder he became an actor..by his charisma, looks, very smart..he makes good movies and a good producer. I'm impressed. I would date him..too bad he's taken..wow..I'm a fan.!!!

  • In response to hispapop about Redford's beauty.

    He still is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and he'll always be beautiful. :)

  • hi I love skiing too, you know if you look in the Biblija/ Biblle there is a bit confusion regarding "green"/ "zelenko" I would say it has something to do with Abandon or Apolon you know.

Anyways I see future green and warm.

    Love D.

  • in the 60's, he was the most beautiful man in the world.

  • more like 70's

    60's was newman's dacade

  • yeah Redford owned the 70's! He was I believe the biggest box office star of the 70's.

  • Thank you so much for your inspiration. Afterall, it was your vision to start the festival. This year was my first experience at the festival. I am overwhelmed and so grateful to you for doing something so profound, impacting, and just plain good for this world. you are obviously an unselfish man with immense intelligence and a big heart!

  • See Robert Redford in Red Spandex:

    search: the baby food dude

  • fishermonk, Paul Newman is wonderful man and a generous one. He is a man of high class and you are right he is a great example of what an american, or anyone, for that manner should be.I did not know that the movies you are speaking of, were books before movies. I loved the movies. If this is true, than I guess my original statement, he can do wrong in my mind, is incorrect. I still love his work as an actor and he is still beautful, even as an old man.

  • raiting!!!!!! watch?v=19XluwCxiZE

  • Don't get me wrong. I think it's great someone of his stature gives back to the community. But on the environmental thing, there seem to be a lot of liberal hypocrites.

I mean the guy lives on the top of a hill in a french style chateau and commutes by jet helicopter.

  • Yea, and it was Robert Redford who says the people of a certain faith he lives around in Utah "plastic". I guess he ought to know...

  • What book are you talking about, Fishermonk? Maybe I will agree with you if I knew...and by the way, watch your language. I'm a lady...

  • Lets start with "A River Runs Through It",or"The Horse Whisperer" he even tried to kill "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance". Norman MaClean completely disavowed the movie Redford made of his book A River Runs Through It, and after seeing the movie I can't blame him(R.I.P. Norman) He is the kind of psuedo intellectual that would sell his soul for one more movie that makes him look like the star he was 30 years ago.You want class and style look to Paul Newman. Sorry bout the foul language.

  • That was such an inspired act by Robert Redford. Many in the future will benefit - many have already! Why did all those people put up the nasty comments. Sick - They are all spam.

It was a true act of genius to save the land.

  • fishermonk67, What is your problem??? Pretty boys scare you???

  • No people who take good books and fuck em up scare me.

  • OK Bobs about as much as an enviromentalist as Richard Gere is a Buddist.

  • good

  • Yes Primal Rap the movie is heading to sundance 2009. so watch out .....

  • Not to forget Sundance is most beautiful name.

  • just incase you didn't have a chance to check out sundance this year... we are part of the world's first on-line film festival. Since october we've been showcasing some of the world's greatest short films. We've partnered with youtube to get them to you, the inspiring audiences.

Check out our video channel all of this week as we are already 15 films into this year's fest.

  • MR. Redford can do NO wrong in my eyes...

  • You mean other then take any reasonably good book and completely f it up?

  • "It was only a matter of time before developers would come in and destroy it."

So Bob turned it into a ski resort. LOL!!!

No sense of irony there hey Bob?

    These guys crack me up.

  • No, when they turn it into a ski resort, they leave the mountains and land alone, and people ski over it. It is not the same as destroying it and putting up malls and McDonalds' and junk places. Am I right?

  • er, Bob turned it into a ski resort. my.

  • Gungasdindin, I picked up an actress rideshare from Craigsist in Vancouver BC. She got to the USA border and they stopped both of us. The fed hates me, I survived an attempt on my life by money launderers in the fed. The poor girl was destined for Sundance and cried because they turned her back...Visa Overstay. Redford does good things, he lures nice looking women to the woods. thats good. No crack just sweet crack

  • Pig facker

  • Oh, as if Sundance wasn't a development!

I bet a lot of wild animals didn't care for their habitat turning into "Sundance".

  • Mr Redford...a class act !

  • Redford MY IDOL ...

  • Redford Had this Gal at hello and I was only a 10 yr old lol lol He's still the Sexyist Man alive with a Heart....What would all you Negaitive Noras Due with your Hard earned Wealth,,Never Mind I don't want to know.....Redford Rocks ........

  • Good use for his millions.

  • you do what soe more rich folks need to learn..you give back..for that you have my respect....

  • Robert Redford - thank you!

  • Jerimiah Johnson (Sidney Pollack) is one of my fav movies of all time. As an actor he played in many grat movies. I think he is, like Clint Eastwood, a little underrated and only judged on image or looks, coz look at the gems of movies he (they) directed and produces... RR made a great contribution to the Art of (American) cinema! Evt0/Hol

  • Stop knocking Redford...very brilliant man...If I had the money I'd do the same thing.

  • "What can I do to preserve something that's unique..?"

Well, I guess if you have the money...you buy it!

  • All the jealous comments from narrow minded pin dicks..... errr, what's the guy supposed to do? Burn his films, give you all his money and the park and have his face cut off?

    Plebby twats.

  • The man has got talent and integrity. Along with a healthy sense of quality for movies and proper business skills he has a good judgement on the right choices to make. I think Robert Redford is more than okay...

  • Robert doesn't want neighbors. I don't blame him. lol.

    ...

Dennis Kucinich 2008! Watch "Don't Be A Chicken" YouTube animation, read HR 676 health plan, be informed, get congress to vote YES, and spread the word!!

  • I own a place here... but nobody else can..

    hypocrite asshat...

  • Self-righteous extended-middle-age crisis megalomaniac.

  • haha my dad is friends with him... but he just calls him bob

  • Yeah Bob, you're my fuckin' hero. NOT!

  • And of course it's sponsored by a beer. What's the word I'm looking for here...hypocrite? No...subterfuge? No...oh! Twatty!

  • 2 acres in Park City for 500!!!!! One of the best investments anyone can make. Probably worth a cool million now.
