Yes there was a remote from memory (dalek found a new home in Wellington after being sol on trade me a few years back) It was used for more basic remote control and speech patterns. But the dalek still had the voice activation although by todays standards a little ropey really. It was cool at the time though :)

Great to hear a female who enjoys the dalek too. My wife hates them! I managed to get this (black) Dalek for £33 yesterday. (I have two 12" and two 6" RC Daleks also.) This monster is such fun though. On fully charged batteries this will cause serious dents in the furniture if you are not careful. It's great to be able to control the head and eye stalk too. The interactive mode is very entertaining, as the head rotates toward whoever is asking a question. Thanks for the review!!!

I Got one for christmas last year, He is indeed huge! It took me 20 minutes to get him out I call him Dalek Caan! he is also a good model when not in use. Be carefull as the eye stalk and gun and arm can become detached! do not mention the Doctor`s name as he hates the Doctor!

Too Much! I got mine from Whona for enough as they were new and it was Christmas time.  I think you may find some in the UK for a little less but expect to pay a fair bit. They originaally retailed for 100 pounds

Blue is the steady light just like in the series. Red signals a temper tantrum coming on if you will ie dalek get's confused, can't understand you. It flashes red on startup as it does checks on all it's systems.

Yep there are two other versions - the assult dalek with claw and a black dalek sec. I just opted to the generic one as they are the same unit underneath.

I think the sec one is a Toys R Us exclusive in the UK - I got mine from Whona in the states simply because the exchange rate from NZD to USD is better than the pound, gotta think of these things when the postage just about cost half the item again!
