yeah, i found it a lot wobblier than my leatherman. For that reason, i stuck with the leatherman, but there's no doubt that Gerber makes quality products... and if you spend some time reading reviews, that's just part of it and it's 100% reliable.
@sbrown7210 I like some of their knives, just their MT's dont work for me, I think leatherman should make MT's and Gerber should stick to knives, just my two cents.
Must be your first Gerber 600... don't worry about the wobble it's been this way since the conception of the 600 and won't fail. I have several, one since 1995 and it's as good as day 1. Understand you don't prefer the 600 but this won't affect its useability at all.
I just want something to quickly and discretely cut barbed wire in tough conditions. The Gerber is good enough for this task and lighter, smaller and less obtrusive than the Leatherman. DOD probably made the the right decision here. Good video though.
I currently own the MP600. I don't mind it as much, but you are right--they could have done better with the metal and fix the wobbling. However, the MP600 came in handy whenever I needed it at work.

still, i'm a leatherman fan, myself.
