The only time I have shot a skunk and it didn't spray was about 2 weeks ago. I shot it with my 20 gauge from about 20 feet with 7.5 shot. It threw the skunk forward about a foot and a half into a chicken shelter.

once i shot a skunk in the head with a .22 benjamin discovery he died but sprayed every were.

@SuperTam84 if you have a pick up truck use a tarp. Walk up to it slowly don't let it see you. Gently cover it and place in your truck. Each state is different check your ordinances to see if it eeds to be dispatched or released.

my neighbors had a problem with a skunk eating their chicken eggs so one night they invited me over to take it out. i got a handfull of cat food and put it about 5 feet from the chicken coop where i had a nice backstop. i droped it from about 20 yards with my Gamo Shadow Express .22 pellet and shotshell. i used a pointed beeman laser pellet. man it sprayed everywhere but didnt know what hit it. my neighbors never heard me shoot. : ) i love air guns

yea i learned the hard way i caught a skunk in a trap over the summer and my pellet gun was off i shot him in the nose then i finished him off

man there's been a skunk thats been living under my porch for a year now....i have no idea to catch it so i called the police department they charge 200$ so fuck that and yeah it just sprayed 3 of my dogs lol... any idea on how to get rid of it?

crazy things about dogs they never learn. you would think if they got sprayed they would avoid a skunk, nope they keep going after them. ok your skunk problem sounds like a large adult. you need a 32"x12'x10" live trap. you can bait it with bacon grease, canned catfood, or even peanut butter. make sur you have a tarp on hand so once you catch it you can slowly cover it and remove it without spraying.

hey im using a 10/22 with cci stingers. when i shoot, they kill whatever they touch, but im afraid to use them on mice and rats at about ten feet due to over penetration. im thinking about the using shotshell rounds in my savage bolt action. how would that do at five to ten feet?

haven't used those in years but should do the trick. My only concern is your safety at such a close range there may be some ricochet.

15fpe is the minimum for a humane heart shot. No head shot or the skunk will spray. Accuracy needs to be less than a inch.

did you use night vision or flood lights. I got skunks that scream and fight right outside my slider door. I am thinking of using my .22 cal airgun (~800fps). I am just curious as how to get a good shot off in the dark.

The best way to get a good shoot off in the dark is to have a large scope that lets in a lot of light. I use 50mm scopes they allow me to see clearly in low light situations. Sorry the clarity from the camera isn't that great but there wasn't enough light for clear video.
