You know, it's easy to see how people can get caught up in this kind of stuff. I have little interest in trains other than their incredible brute strength and yet, I find myself sitting here hour after hour mesmerized by these videos. I can't really explain it.

I just don't get it! only 3 or 4 engines on the train? I seriously do not think Tehachapi is all that great these days. I was there when it was SP/SF and the trains then had 5 to 8 engines on the front and 4 to 7 more in the middle of the train!! It was insane! and you heard the diesel roar for milews in advance.....You cant even hear the locomotives these days.. such a shame! rail-fanning sure lost it's excitement! Wide Cabs..ugggh!

That train was WEAK! Man, Tehachapi sux now adays... Its sure nothing like the days SP Tunnel motors roared over this passed. Todays locomotive power is so quiet it's boring to watch!
