Iowa State always plays Nebraska tough no matter how good the teams are doing or what they're ranked. Iowa State is the closest thing to an in-state rival that Nebraska has and both teams treat it as a rivalry match up. Being a HUGE Nebraska fan, I have mad respect for Iowa State, and watch out Big 12. With a coach like Paul Rhodes and the players he's bringing in, I wouldn't be surprised to see Iowa State start running things.

It's called TERRIBLE RECRUITING! Callahan didn't recruit! Pelini is stuck with mediocre talent. As long as Callahan's players are still on the team Nebraska will struggle against teams like Iowa St. and Missouri and Kansas. Once Pelini's players take over the starting spots I think you'll see a much better Nebraska team. Green at quarterback and Robinson at tailback are just the beginning of how well Pelini has recruited. Help is on the way. But we'll have to wait a year or two to see the change

Also the Lincoln news paper reported that Bo's house was vandalized after the ISU game. Police reports show the perpetrator was apprehended shortly after. A Police official was quoted saying..."It wasn't hard to figure out out who did it. Only 2 of the 12 eggs actually hit the house." ISU doesn't have a great defense. They got pushed around by the NU offense. ISU knows how to strip the ball and intercept passes. NU marched the ball up and down the field against ISU. The problem was NU kept fumbling the ball away. But ISU's defense couldn't stop anything unless they got a turnover! I live for Husker football! I absolutely went berserk watching all the turnovers. Iowa State realistically should have lost by at least 4 touchdowns. The Husker defense played lights out! I lay the blame with the offensive coaches. Firstly, Barnie Cotton has got to go! The o-line can't block. Secondly, start Robinson at tailback. Helu is not a threat. Robinson has size and speed. Thirdly, develop the run instead of forcing a passing game. ISU got lucky! They got a gift! Plain and simple.

I live a half hour from Iowa City. I work with Cyclone and Hawkeye fans. Tomorrow at work is going to be HELL! I don't want to make eye contact.
