Satanism, my jahtsee! We used to get right up to the rafters as kids. The only legend concerns the adjacent field between the church and the moat. It's said that there were once two white horses kept there which were not only remarkable for their colour and quality (in the days of yore) but also because of the friendly way that they galloped over to greet passers by on the road (primarily the congregation on their way to services) which endeared them to the locals. Listen for pounding hooves!
Oh, heck. Yes, I know about this place, but I never needed to go there for a haunting experience. Plenty of experiences with haunting, without leaving my last three Hertfordshire homes. This comment is not intended to be a joke. And, as a result of what has happened to me, I cannot possibly accept archaic ghost concepts as a plausible explanation. Since when, for instance, have ghosts had transportation technology, and been able to cut electrical current flow?
Fucking nonsense. I live there. Yes there are occasionally 'satanic' gatherings, though mostly kids play, just acting 'evil' like teenagers do for a laugh. The real interesting thing about Thunderidge is the fact that it is part of a large iron age, and later Roman, settlement, features of which can still clearly be seen if you know where to look. There are also two still prominant ancient burial mounds (round barrows) approx twn minutes walk from this pathetic tower.
me and 2 mates went on a bike ride and stopped here and had lunch in the grave yard.. nothing spooky or wierd happened to us there.. is was kinda peaceful though.
pussys you should go at night and also take photos on the way to the church in every photo we took we there were white orbs and more apeared as we got closer we used 2 diffrent cameras cleaned the lencess took flash off
went in there last night to the top of the stairs its a bit worrying wen u first get there outside but it aint too bad once your in there we did see blood at the top on the last step though
the whole reason cold christmas church is so scary is because the church unllike any other church is facing the wrong way, it was deliberatly built facing a different way to 'normal' churches, i.e facing north instead of south. Apparently so they say devil worshipers went to the church and formed cults, this is also why its in the middle of nowhere, eventually police raded the place and found three priests hanging at the top of the stairs
I have to laugh! you have got some vivid imaginations. It's just and old church in an isolated spot. The village kids used to go there on Halloween Night in the 70's. We'd hang around there all the time, never saw or heard anything. Believe what you want to believe. Why don't you just let the people who are buried there R.I.P. Or they might just come back and haunt you! lol
scary been there my m8 felt ill and couldnt brathe when we went and i saw some eyes on a grave i went on september 19th 2008n its scray proper go to houghton house its a haunted mansion not joking it is scary
houghton house isnt scary its location is quite wierd tho and the smell of teh slaughter house theres pretty unbarable. Defimately a place you wana go with alot of people though
Its so cold because the stone walls are thick and damp (it feels like it has air con on in a lot of old forts, churches etc ) also the sun light cant get in to warm the place up . Visit Hedingham castle in Essex on a hot day , as soon as you open that big wooden door your'll always be hit with a gust of cold wind .
i went there like monday night just for shits and giggles, didn't see anyone else apart from the people we were with but it was still creepy all the way there through them trees :O worth going to might bowl down there on halloween see whats happening. only saw one grave of a kid if we go back i mght have a closer look kindof hard in the dark :P
i have actually been there and romour has it its the only church to face south and on halloween the witches go there for there spells and stuff, if you go there on halloween the top road is allways blocked off by police and other cars its a big hit you must go. i will be returning this year as i havent yet been able to get as far as the church on the day
Man thats shit scary. My friends went there at around 10-11 p.m and there were people there. Its somesort of cult I reckon. They are very creepy apparently they chase you. I think some are in-breds.

A lot of people have mentioned the whole cult thing, saying they've seen people in white robes up there.
DJPalenque 3 years ago

KybroGreek 3 years ago
No, I did some research and found some people who have been there and a lot of them said that, even though they didn't know each other.
DJPalenque 3 years ago
