If the election was today I would not be 100% sure if I would vote for Obama. I hold many Democratic beliefs and think Obama did good in office until the Republicans snatched Congress, but with what I have seen and heard of Ron Paul, I think Obama making it back into the White House could be an issue. I believe that Ron Paul is the best GOP candidate out there and that he could give Obama a run for his money because of his ideas and views on the country, not because of what he says in media ads

Ron Paul isn't anti abortion. He believes it shouldn't be the government saying whether abortion/drugs/prostitution should be legal, it should be up to the STATE. Let the states decide their own laws. In fact, I'd say he's rather neutral on the subject. Maybe personally, he doesn't approve of it, but he's never said he wants it abolished. Just because he's running as a Republican, doesn't mean he follows all the stereotypes of that party.

@gearsofgorexx Not saying Obama's economic policy has been good, because I've got my gripes, but you should look into how these rating agencies functions. Companies like Bear Stearns and Goldman Sachs had and continue to have AAA ratings not because they were fiscally responsible companies but because they paid off the S&P to keep them that way. The US Gov't refused to pay to bribe our credit rating up so it went down. This is principle, not failure.

he is black and a democrat. after the civil war, African Americans progressively got involved in political matters. when racist politicians at that time disagreed, a lot put aside their differences and became republican while blacks were segregated to democrats - that's why you see so few black republicans (this is a historical fact, not my opinion) that alone puts half the country agents him. that does not even go into his opinions on certain political issues or moral character..

@convictPKlol don't forget that fact that the media only covers the major events that the public wants to hear about. the president does a lot of his work via his branches such as homeland security. he gets A LOT done in the white house, most of it is just boring maintenance to several free services and budgeting. also since congress has turned a republican, he cant do anything more with the government fighting him. democratic vs republic dominance take priory to solving issues sometimes.

Well honestly, the things he's accomplished wasn't *quite* what I was hoping he would do. BUT Obama is the best candidate we have in all honestly. A lot of the republicans that are running seem like crazy fruit-bats. Know who seems sane among them? Ron Paul. Which is...sad really. The only gun legislation Obama has put into motion has actually given gun owners more freedom to carry guns in more places.
What it actually says in the constitution is "...right to bear arms to form an active militia." So just having guns for the fun of it is not a constitutional right.
