@breeeegs then its pretty obvious you're bitter. this is a story about love, and all the shit that happens within it. the girl came off like a bitch, but love is a bitch. if anything it should give you a sense of calm to know that maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day, you'll run into someone that actually appreciates you. i believe this was a main theme in the movie, which was reiterated with "coincidence" instead of "fate"

I don't think is is a story about love - its a story about infatuation. In the beginning of the movie, the narrator says "this is not a love story", and he's right, because true love is mutual, which in this case it wasn't. I want to meet someone who appreciates me, and yes, I get pessimistic sometimes. But I know that not all girls are like this, and I hope one day I can have a great relationship that will be fulfilling and won't fall apart

The end of THE THIRD MAN is similar to this. It really messed me up when I was a teenager, because the character is so lost emotionally, so in love with the woman, and she walks right past him in the last scene in the movie. Wow. Not even a consolation talk like this. Few movies have the courage to actually show a relationship just plain not work out.

This scene is so sad... she is happy but you can tell Tom is so angry, and sad at the same time but trying not to yell at her or kiss her because she is married now. Ugh it makes my stomach ache it is so sad :'(

Ouch. Unbelievably heart-breaking. They both played thier characters to perfection. This was a hell of a movie. Reminds me of relationships when you're in your twenties. Those relationships you never forget because they make you into the person you're meant to be. .

The ending of this movie is one of the best i've seen. At the end of this scene, he wishes her happiness, maybe that's the attitude we should assume even when someone really hurt us, you can't get anything from hate... and maybe who knows, just like this movie, something better might come along

It's messed up but pretty much all of us will have to be a pit stop on someone else's journey to finding true love at some point, and u might not realize it but someone will be one on yours, too.

He expected Summer, and girlfriends in general, to fix all his problems. He ignored her when she said she didn't want anything serious and fell apart when she broke up with him. Their relationship was built on mixed signals but still, he put her on a serious pedestal. In this scene though, she's a bitch.

The "romance" behind a good relationship comes from being able to survive some of the worst moments of your life with someone else and some of the those are going to be because of that other person.
