  • Samantha stepped out of the comfort zone of what was being filtered to her by media & government about the rest of the world to find out for herself ie: Reagan's "Evil Empire comment about the Soviet Union. We hear echos from Bush's "Axis of Evil" comments. This gives children nightmares. To hell with war mongers who push & prod other countries to war. Shame on ignorant people who believe these rants of aggression from their leaders. Shame on them in the light of a brave girl named Samantha.

  • This is beautiful! You are very special to be keeping our memories of Samantha alive. Thank you!

  • @jonsprout36 Thank you.

  • Good song :)

It so hard to find a tribute with decent music like this/

  • @LaVitaNouva

    Thank You :)

  • Remember very well the history of her letter and visit to us, it was main political event for USSR chidren. I am the same age - born in 1972. Most beautyful girl of my childhood

  • definetly, this beautyfull heart of angel may stop all this terrible wars!

  • Every once in awhile I look up Samantha Smith on YouTube, to see what people post, from so many years ago... I came across your tribute video today and by the end of the song was balling my eyes out... Thank you for making such an amazing video. I believe you and I are like twins, in the upholding of her memory and preserving the precious person that Samantha was. Every August 25thm I still say a prayer for her. Now I can watch this video too and remember her forever... --Sincerely, Edward

  • I miss you Samantha :(

  • Great video; great song. I was the same age as Samantha when all this was happening, and was quite in love with her, as were about all 11 year old boys in America, (and probably Russia too!) I still remember how sad I was when news of her death came over CNN. RIP... I'm sure God holds you close.

  • Dear, our darling Samantha!

You are will forever remain in our hearts!

  • thank you.

  • What a beautiful and moving tribute. Thank you.

  • Thank you for this beautiful tribute! Samanthas hopes for a better peaceful world between nations lives on here in this video tribute! We must not forget her.

  • If she hadn't died in that horrible accident, she could have become America's peace and morals voice and maybe help prevented recent wars...

  • wow, where did you get this footage? I'm trying to make a documentary so getting permission for footage like this would be extremely valuable

  • All the footage of Samantha used can be found on You tube and the web.

  • 2 keiwata262: There WAS a statue of Samantha in Moscow, but it was stolen by someone because of bronze it made of. So we lose it forever. New times have come, so our government would like to make statues of Yeltsyn or Solzhenitsyn, not a statue of a girl, who made much more than those two traitors.

Rest in Peace, Samantha. Millions of people in ex-USSR and I hope in USA remember you, it means that you are alive...

  • Wow what a wonderful tribute!! I had a chance to visit camp Artek as well. Its a beautiful place, just 30 min walk from the town of Gurzuf. The communist-themed statues from the Soviet times were rusting away and some of them looked as if they're about to fall to the ground and hurt someone. They should remove those and build a statue of Samantha in her memory.

  • A good choice of music for this great tribute to such a special little girl. Well Done!!!
