omg wasps cannot get out any windows. i am scared so much by them and 1 was in my room so i left the roof window open and it keeps flying up into the glass when there was a massive peace of open window where it could of got out easy. same with sliding door in the kitchen.
Wasps are very good at squeezing through cracks, which is probably how they made it inside. The easiest way to take care of such a small nest, which you already did, would be a wasp/hornet poison spray. If the nest is larger, however (e.g., inside the wall), you should involve a professional.
I would have got a broom stick carry it out side fill it with soda and sugary stuff to attract them to the inside then bring out my stove lighter and set the nest on fire. Then run away screaming hoping they didn't follow me.
