Offensively there is no better scoring/ polished offensive player than Amare..... problem is he can't stay healthy. Howard is the most dominating defensive center though and is also a very good scorer. Anyways if u had to pick one to start a team it has to be Dwight.
Injuries pulls Amare back. If he was healthy, I would rate him over Dwight for the offense. But he got injured a few times and I think soon or later he will be like Chriss Webber, got nailed to the ground. His dominance will disappear. Dwight's offense is not as good as Amare but at least he is a better defender and so far he hasn't experienced any major injury like Amare. As of now, Dwight has a brighter future.

There two ways to work with your teammates on offense. Create plays for them, or they create for you. Amare relies way too much on his team makin creating opportunities for him, but rarely returns the favor (passing off the ball with the shot clock runnin down forcing the last guy to shoot a bad shot that sometimes goes in doesnt count).

In recent years, Amare is not as good as before due to his injure. He could be the best PF of all time if he was healthy. Think about when he first joined NBA, see how dominate he was. After his first injury, he just couldn't jump high enough to dunk over a stronger and taller defender as he did before. Now, Dwight has the advantage over Amare offensively as well as defensively.

Amare has got the more matured offensive game (post moves, mid-range shooting), something Howard is still growing into.

Offensively there is no better scoring/ polished offensive player than Amare..... problem is he can't stay healthy. Howard is the most dominating defensive center though and is also a very good scorer. Anyways if u had to pick one to start a team it has to be Dwight.

Injuries pulls Amare back. If he was healthy, I would rate him over Dwight for the offense. But he got injured a few times and I think soon or later he will be like Chriss Webber, got nailed to the ground. His dominance will disappear. Dwight's offense is not as good as Amare but at least he is a better defender and so far he hasn't experienced any major injury like Amare. As of now, Dwight has a brighter future.

There two ways to work with your teammates on offense. Create plays for them, or they create for you. Amare relies way too much on his team makin creating opportunities for him, but rarely returns the favor (passing off the ball with the shot clock runnin down forcing the last guy to shoot a bad shot that sometimes goes in doesnt count).

Amare cannot post up. He used to before he lost all that weight. He rarely ever uses a hook shot, either. He's a faceup slashing PF with a mid-range jumper, and even with all that in his repertoire, he still isn't as statistically effective as Howard, nor does he command the double teams Dwight does.

Well, that Cleveland team sure did contain Amare, who went 9-21 in their meeting in which Phoenix lost big. I forget the discussion, I think it was, who's better, Amare or Dwight? If you truly believe Amare's a better player, then this really isn't worth discussing. Dwight is a consensus top 5 player in the league, regardless of position, while Amare's somewhere in the 20-30 range.

In recent years, Amare is not as good as before due to his injure. He could be the best PF of all time if he was healthy. Think about when he first joined NBA, see how dominate he was. After his first injury, he just couldn't jump high enough to dunk over a stronger and taller defender as he did before. Now, Dwight has the advantage over Amare offensively as well as defensively.

Amare is all about the touches and the points lol...he Nash and most of phoenix dont care much for that hardcore defense and if they stay at a decent paced game they can actually run D on good teams...kinda force mistakes they need a half court game when they cant run...shaq only helped a lil sadly. lol
