  • I think I have come across a 0.680 engined fleetline back in '96 (NFX130P). It sounded just like an Atlantean. Lovely old buses.

  • one of the best diesel engines ever made

  • my apologies. any that engine sounds good and in fantastic condition

  • Looks and sounds great. It sounds nothing like an atlantean however. Fleetlines rule. Cool vid e37405

  • Ohhhh Jaggass you've upset d1672 he owns it and is furious you classed it as an Atlantean

  • I think you and me both know it's a fleetline. Why every Leyland Atlantean or Daimler Fleetline vid do you make the comment?! Check wikipedia to define whats what!

  • No Atlanteans were built with Gardner engines and to the best of my knowledge the only ones so converted were the London XA class when they were in operation in Hong Kong with CMB.

Some Fleetlines were built with Leyland O.680engines (and sounded similar to Atlanteans) but, they were not 'real' Fleetlines to me!
