  • Flew over to the state for this one, its a great few days and fighting in the snow is something else.

I'm not on the video but I was with a great bunch of guys from the 30th Inf Din, still got my registration card wrist band and everything, look forward till I can cross the pond and return to F.I.G. and say hello to all my American friends again..........

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to long

  • I keep saying it: the only right way to re enact is to use live ammo, from both sides.Paul

  • Wouldnt it be interesting if they used Simunitions? Definitley would not have to worry about someone not calling their "deaths".

  • I wish they would do a remake of the movie... the one from the 60's was pretty good when I watched it as a kid but now it seems pretty lame. My father was there and recieved a Bronze Star but would never talk about what he did.

  • these fat cunts make me laugh ..what the fuck do they think they are doing??.. storming burger king ffs??

  • I want to go there... badly...

  • hey is there a website i can lok at for this event?

  • lol londonrocks. but this is great work here!!

  • ha ha its like kids in the playground , all running about like idiots, no formations no orders radios nothing! and hiding behind those little trees wont do shit, if the round dont kill ya the fecking wood splinter will, bang bang pop pop, pathetic..

  • wow , that is one fat medic!!

  • @paulspydar Hes gonna donate some of his organs to you if you will loose one or two.

  • we only need a...WAIT FOR IT few more .....japs??? fuck. Army navy or nieither. END QUOTE

  • Crap....... go home and practice

  • what vehical is that at the 00.10 its cool,i want one

  • How old do you need to be to join world war 2 reenactments?

  • THe expense of this production is obviously immense. I notice most men wearing gloves.

The 101 didn't even have mittens.

Fire in the hole was not a term used in ww2

good to see the helmets with clubs instead of spades.

  • stop being negative!

  • Fire in the hole originated in the EARLY 20th century as a mining term for detonating explosives, so it wouldn't at all be out of place to hear it during WWII.

They got their gloves/mittens off of dead germans.

  • the people whp fought in that war did it for there people and america like almost half a million man died in worldwar 2 american lives

  • and englan, ussr, poland, france, belgum, norway, netherlands, china and loads more america didnt stand alone you know

  • imagine a drunk or baked guy walking through he would of thought he went back into time :P

  • lol

  • HAHAHAHAHA!

  • hi im 13 end i love the storys of the world war 2 i hef a 101 airborne costum with helmet shoes webbing end a mussete bag i want to doo re enacting bad i am too jung bad if im 18 ?

  • Do Germans shoot medics? My grandpa was a medic for the marines in Okinawa and he said that the Japanese would kill medics since if a medic died, 20 more soldiers would die also...do the germans follow this?

  • ne Germans acted like human beings, not inhuman savages, they did not shoot medics.

  • no evrybody would shoots a mdeic we still do it now days medics and also field operaters so u can cut their communications and like u said kill one medic kill 20 wounded soldiers and yes the germans did this just like the americans did i remember being in iraq with a radio on my back and everybody made fun of me sayin iam a walking target

  • No only in the Ardenne....

  • im glad this is in high quality in the others i saw i couldnt tell who's who

  • my great grand father (recently passed away) fought as a sarge in that battle. he was a great man. Men like that earn their respect pretty fast!

  • I regret that Russians "liberated"-occupated Poland, not you. Regards

  • This brings back some long ago memories. I remember how goddammit cold we were. And short on ammo too. We did get hot food, thanks to General Patton. I met him there. He had a physical presence that is impossible to describe.

Yankeeboy, how does your great uncle know how many Germans he shot? He counted them? I just shot them, shot at them and shot in the general direction of them. He must have been a crack shot.

Please never forget what we did in the snow covered forest. Please don't forget.

  • Although it may seem that way, many of us don't forget. Respect to you Sir.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Thank you sir for the great sacrifice you made for this nation. I have a question though, If you were 18 again and in that same spot, and the country was in the shape it is today, would you risk your life for it again?

  • It would not be my choice to serve under a man like Obama, but my love for this country would overcome that. Yes, if I was 18 again, and things were like they are now, I would most certainly do my part once again.

  • what does it take to join this kind of stuff? if anyone knows.. preferably the german side, since i'm tired of seeing the war from the american side. i would take it that you would have to speak the native language of the soldiers, but i already know german so what is do i have to do?

  • my great uncle was in this battle. he shot 40 germans himself and got the silver star.....he survived it too. not joking either. 0_o

  • my gramps was inn that battle

  • i love reenactments and everything and im a HUGE WWII history buff but the thing that really dissapoints me about these videos is you never see anyone play dead or even fall everyone just keeps shooting at eachother,..it makes it all pointless.

  • nice one , how did you make it as 42 minutes long ? 5*****

  • That was pretty funny at ~1:40, it looked almost real, everyone suddenly crouches and wonders WTF the shot came from

  • i wonderd if u could have a tank

  • I would like to know What is the age you have to be and how to get the equipment for the reenactments i already have a M1 grand, and also how do i get into a reenactment? please help

  • can someone please enlighten me on how a reenactment works? like how do people know they are shot when they are just usin blanks?

  • after you've done it a while you'll figure it out, and too alot of times you play dead just to rest, it's a chore wading through the snow with all that equipment. Basically when someone point his rifle in your general direction and fires, just be a good chap and die like a man

  • Ah. I see.

  • I always wondered that too. Maybe they use airguns?

  • they used blanks

  • they dont use blanks they use a blowback round with a PFC cap in it as blanks fire a small projectile out of them witch is use as wadding for the round witch is quite dangerous to be hit with espeshaly in the eye any spelling mistakes im dislexic so yeah

  • no!they use blanks it shoots air out,in a way.I bought some for my ak47 and they are clamped at the end.

  • @Anarchist AttackTV

Your mistaken although that is a way to simulate a bullet or round, it is incorrect. PFC caps arent as loud as blank rounds. Most reactors including these guys are using blanks, And blank fireing adaptors to use semi automatic fire.

  • nope we definitely use blanks

  • i think its scripted

  • no its not, everyone just uses the Honor System

  • does the german side speak German in this or english? I mean its not bad but it would kind of kill the reality if you were on the German side and everyone is yelling in English with American accents.

  • we speak both we use german while in formation and while marching, but mainly english while on the field, with the exception of public events

  • my granpa was there he made it out

  • my great grandfather on my dads side fought in this war on the front lines. he made it back home, he later died from a sickness he got after his return.

  • I'm sorry if I'm wrong, because I'm no WWII buff, but wasn't the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes, not the Hurtgen forest?

  • thx 4 the info confederateBattery1 (not sarcastic)

  • wasnt this battle faught in the andennes forest

  • This is the WWII battle I am most interested in.

  • Same here!

  • Sorry that was to DickBigs comment

  • they know when there shot cuz theres lil sensores all over there body. and if hit. it triggers a lil shock.. and haha aint that true dustoffam

  • Actually - it's really the "honor" system.

If a soldier feels he's killed or wounded he will lie down and remove his helmet.

They gain "a new life" for the next skirmish.

    All well done...

  • I dont mean to be rude in the least bit... but ummm. If you want to reenact the lives of soldiers, can we maybe try to look like them? About half the people in the video are grossly over weight. Just an idea... maybe a little motivation to start a healthy life style for some people in the video.

  • i can never fugure out. how can you tell if your shot?

  • depends on how many people are they and if you don't feel like become a rambo you just fall down. dead But although this is reenacting i really give my appreciation to all reenactors for spending money that is

out of date and put these shows on i used to be a civil war reenactor and now i am with the north and south skirmish association, but we should never forget the people that died in vein

  • when someone has their gun pointed at you and open fires and if see them fire at you

  • How do I become a part of this, please comment me back.

  • how long does one of these events last?

  • If i remember depends. on the reenactment. couple of hours, and days. basically 2-3 days but. i am joining up with a group i really got interested in it from a locial encampment that they did here in my home town

  • My Grandpa and five of his borthers seerved in WWII. My grandpa was in the medical branch of the army, and one fo my great uncles was a marine Sergeant who was wouneded in the pacific, more specificly, Guadaulcanal.

  • My Grandfather Frought with 3rd army Pattons Group. and was there too with the 177th field artillery, My other grandpa served in the navy as well both grandfathers were at normandy. but the one in the navy went south on his ship around france and frought in africa and japan, my grand uncle frought in japan, my 3rd cousin frought in japan. My father dad frought in the eastern front, They wanted him to land on the land day of d-day but no. eisnhower wanted german speakeasy

  • u have no idea what you are talking about you are just saying stuff that can be true. my grandfather faught in a m27 tank he was a 1st. lutenant in the 2nd armored division with george smith patton hell on wheels.

  • We all appreciate the sacrifice your father made during this terrible battle. God bless him.

  • dude my grandfather was in both korean and nam

  • My great uncle was at the battle of the bulge and many others. He was a medic so he saw alot of things. He was one of the few people not to get rost bite because he was so small he had to wear canadian boots which were better suited for cold then U.S. boots.

  • To all patriotic Americans: The sacrifice of brave American soldiers is being mocked and denigrated by nazi admirers on YouTube who claim that the wehrmacht were superior to American forces. If you have a chance, please check out the nazi videos and let 'em have it with your comments. We don't want to let today's nazi lovers to go unchallenged. God bless America.

  • I know a guy who's dad was in this battle.

He said that it was WAY worse than this, lol!

  • of course

  • well no duh dumbass. no reenactment on earth csn EVER be as bad as the real thing. no matter what war or battle. o/c this battle was worse than this. we can never match how bad it was. dumbass

  • Yaeh.

  • yea because in the real one they had artllery, and the fear of dieing..none of this in here.

  • its weird i had to family members that fought in this battle for different sides. they already know they fought for different armies in world warII and they have no problem with each other but they just found out they both fought in the same battle

  • lol, I like to see this germans with white uniforms!

  • Scary, America defended them selves with a few companies of infantry and paratroopers. Low on ammo food and medical supplies they were armed with 30/ 50 Cals, jeeps, Tommy guns, M1 carbines/ Garands and gernades. THEY HAD TO PEE ON THEIR GUNS TO KEEP IT FROM FREEZING! BUT THEY STILL WON!!!

  • lol

  • My father commanded company C at the Battle of the Bulge. The snow was up to the men's hips.

  • My grandfather was at the Bulge... He served as both a sniper and a medic after the corpsman got blown up by artillery.

  • i marched this back in 2002 i believe is about 13 miles but it was cool tiresome thou i rember a part where it was all pretey much ice i cept slipping woo what a walk that was i also got to ride in 1 of the trucks i really got a kick out of that if i were to ever go back to Europe this will be the first thing i do nice vid

  • my granducle fought in the Bulge, but he was a paratrooper.

  • I am not trying to start anything but Corpsmans were used in the Marine Corps.

  • Oh, thank you. Well then insert Medic where CM used to be, Lol.

  • I bet this was a pain in the ass to do but nice work

  • Question:

If say I wanted to buy one of these M1s or Thompson SMG, where would I go?

Is there a website or a store?

  • im joining a group which goes to this every 2 years and there in this video

  • an m1 garand cost 34 bucks for 8 rounds plus stripper clip

  • lol

  • Are they just using airsoft? I'd like to convert to ww2 but it would probbly cost quiet a bit

  • its fun?

  • it shows how life was in war

  • plz dont criticize what you dont understand...

  • Grasciola, why dont you say the to a Veteran and see what he has to say

  • My Grandfather was in this Battle when he went over to Europe in 1944. He became appart of the first infantry Division he got frost bite but didn't have to get his feet chopped off. He was in the Service till 46. He dosen't like talking about the war.He made Tech SGT though.

  • my grandpa too he don't speak

but he fight in leningrad and omaha

    for the germans

  • no there shooting blanks to make it look realistic

  • Real guns. Fake bullets.

  • wait are thoes real guns or what?

  • Whose that squad with their corporal who didn't think they needed to get off the road onto the snowbank? They could've got killed.

  • Wheres the arty?? that was the main thing in the Battle was the artillery the germans used it in every push or small unit assault.

  • well i think you better don't use an Flak 88 on those trees..

even if they should use it i guess no1 has an Flak 88 lol

  • Peiper was the best fighter of the 12th panzer division

  • my marine tranig about 10 degrees 5 degree wind chill degreeand i was cold so i took bed sheets and blankets around me. My gradpa was in this battle and said it was about 0 degrees so he said "I wounder if a tank is warm inside it" My grandpa later joined the 184th artillery and 1 troop tied the string that u pull to fire to his belt and my gradpa had diahria at the time so he had to go to the bathroom and BOOM! he said "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!" and the troop said "You going to the bathroom"

  • It was a battle of The Bulge Reenactment and you are bitching about the cold weather..... It was extremely more cold then 20 degrees with a 10 degree wind shield during the real battle i bet.

  • yeah, at the time of the battle, it was the coldest winter in europe for over 30 years

  • This video reminds me of my draft in the Swedish armed forces during our exercise up in the north of Sweden.

  • It wazs mighty cold that day.

20 degree weather with a wind chill of about 10 degrees.

    But...well worth the experience.

    Bill

  • they did NOT have the paratroops remove their 101st patches, and yes, the properly done events have "referees" that tell you if you've been hit. it's mostly on the honor system...

  • Are there any rules or a goal to reach or is it just for fun ?

Obviously no side can win as you cant tell who's been hit or not.

  • *Lol* At 1:44.. Bang ! And in the same moment one guy's helmet is falling down just like he has been hit. Also great how they hesitate to go down after that. "Uhhhh, that snow and mud is so cold and wet" "Do we really have to ?" rofl

  • Oh yes, lets rip off our well sewn patches to make viewers happy and so we are authentic as possible.

  • omfg pinto1944N fucking american mentality

  • good job, but for all the American soldiers, they shouldn't have the 101st airborne patch because in the actual battle of the bulge the army made them take off the patch so the Germans wouldn't know they were fighting an elite company of soldiers.

  • sw33t

  • cool man

  • LOL that was cool at 38:54

  • It took me 15 minutes just to upload a video 34 seconds long, how long did this take? (Tell me on my page)

  • I have been in only a few reenactments, one Omaha with real guns and blanks, two Battle of The Bulge reenactments and thats it... And if you smoke, hang back at a tree with no one near you and you are always picked as a squad leader...

  • can a 13 year old wit hfull german gear be in it as like a hitler youth?

    lol

  • ROFL at the really short guy that jumps out the snow thingy at 00:08! lol

  • The snow thingy is called a "Weasel"

  • what is Reenactment

and also what bulets are you shooting soft air gun?

  • they are real rifles loaded with blanks

  • way to many fat guys on the german side

  • i really want to get into reenactment. what do i have to do to get into it? the only thing is...i'm filipino/american lol

  • Should be no problem - all all welcome.

I'm sure that there were Filipino/Americans who participated in the REAL Battle of The Bulge.

    Try it!

  • what about chinese americans?

  • Now that's a question.

I can only assume that there were a few (agreeably in the minority) men of Chinese descent who participated in the battle.

    You will be welcomed.

  • I'm really trying. I cant find a unit in my area : /. I live in St. Mary's, Georgia.

  • Do a Google search for "Battle of The Bulge Reenactment".

You can make an inquiry on the reenactment website that should allow you to hook up with a group.

Wishing you good luck and see you at the next event!

    Bill

  • alright thanks. but ya I left the german unit and now might be in a unit soon. but still looking. its hard to find units out in Georgia.

  • if i were you since your filipino id join the americans not the germans

  • you can buy alot of the stuff from places like sportsmansguide, cheaper than dirt, soldier city etc. but get ready to have about a grand in uniform, helmet, belts, and all the other stuff course that doesn't include any kind of vintage firearm

  • And a grand to have this much fun is a real deal.

  • I notice a slight extention at the end of the barrel on those Garands, is that the blank adaptor?

  • Yes, it is.

Just remember to REMOVE it before you fire live rounds!

Some of the reenactors install custom-made blank adaptors that don't extend the length of the barrel.

  • no the GD!!!

  • i would love to be a reenactor

  • Go for it!

  • hey man I understand this is in ft Indiantown. I went there for the 2007 summer warrior challenge and it was a great experince having all those DI's around you. lol. I want to find out more about this reenactment group and if theres a chance for me to join or is it for military personnel only??

  • Many of the reenactors have previously served in the military, but you don't have to be a vet to participate.

Do a Google search on "Battle of the Bulge Reenactment" and you can go directly to their website for more info.

  • thanks!!!

  • and how do you get those clothes donated or something

  • Each reenactor purchases his clothes.

Some may be from the era, most are exact reproductions.

  • hhmm so there are no pellets or something like that only your imagination and your good will to aknwoledge that you are dead?

  • Yes, that's correct.

  • so what makes the musle flashes and sounds??

  • All the participants are using period firearms and blanks.

The use of firearms and appropriate ammunition is strictly controlled.

In the many years of running the event no one has been injured.

  • Blank ammunition. Rounds without a bullet on them, they make the same sound and effects minus most of the kick and a round leaving the barrel. So in effect they are just as loud and if u get up close sometimes just as violent, trust me. All semis and autos need blank adapters however that fit onto or into the barrel descreatly. They allow the gases to be forced back to work the mechanisims to load another round.

  • My Dad is Alexander "Sparky" Kisse

  • thats indeed a very good question,

How do you know when you are hit?

  • Wounded soldiers just "fall" when they're hit.

If they consider themselves "killed" they remove their helmet and sit down.

  • WHATS YOUR DADS NAME?

  • My Dad is Alexander "Sparky" Kisse.

Dad served with the 28th Division, 112th Infantry Regiment

  • where you buy equipment ??

  • Do a Google search for "Battle of the bulge reenactment" and you will get contact information for the event.

  • where can I sign in for these Reenactments?

  • Do a Google search for "Battle of the bulge reenactment" and you will get contact information for the event.

  • how do you know when your hit?

  • veery cool. Wud like to know where i can get cheap german helmets, and uniform. Any help wud be gr8. Plz recommend uk sites

  • I would recommend that you go to the reenactment site.

Do a search on Google for "Battle of The Bulge Reenactment" and you can get contact info for UK reenactors.

Also search this list of comments.

    Bill

  • I love the unit that I am in. 2nd Panzer Division. We have the largest collection of German armor in the midwest

  • Cool i might have to attend this i am a German reenactor [9th SS].
