the simpsons before season 10 was in fact very realistic and very funny. after that point they got more and more unrealistic, and the quality of those episodes is definitely lower than seasons 1-9. family guy has been incredibly unrelistic throughout its existence and it is therefore a crap show. no one can honestly argue that family guy is a better series than the simpsons, unless you are only looking at simpsons episodes post-season 10.

i agree with you the simpsons were great from seasons1 to 10. but you cant compare one show to the other because they are totally different.the simpsons play common situations with a touch of comedy. meanwhile family guy plays social situations in a perspective totally unreal. for instance you can expect peter to hurt himself on purpose by doing stupid things like putting his penis in a pencil sharpener but it wouldnt work with homer because homer is stupid in a different way

I can sympathize with your opinion on both Family Guy and Entourage but not entirely on The Office. You've stated your points on FG and I couldn't agree more. Entourage suffers from a similiar weakness; lack of progression. It's also very anti-climactic. The dramedy Hung displays a great example of fully utilizing the 30 min slot. Now, while The Office isn't an uproarious spectacle, I've found it to be barable and admittingly amusing. However none of these show's even compare to AD.
