Its vertebrae doesn't appear to be long enough to be a unicorn. Unicorn = equine type creature with cleaved hooves and a lion like tail. Plus the description said the creature has "horns" plural; that's kind of the opposite of what the prefix 'uni' suggests. It's most likely a deformed... something.

There aren't many beautiful pictures of Cerberus from Greek and Roman times. And many depictions of dragons showed them as being ugly creatures. And what about Gargoyles. If there was such a thing, which of course there is not, the animal must still follow one unchanging rule of all nature-no "horned" animal is born with a developed horn. The birth would be a disaster for the mother and the likelyhood for survival for mother or calf would reduced to near zero.

If this was real it would not consist on a fetus with a developed horn, only a small, soft bump on the head at the most. Keep in mind it is dramitized as a mammal, like a horse, and would rip apart the mothers woumb during development not to mention the agony and unlikelyhood of not killing her during birth. Only animal with a horn born alive is hatched from an egg and traditional myth does not depict the unicorn hatching from an egg. Cannot be born with this big horn.
