  • The Embryon is one of my favourite bosses in this game , wow bringing back alot of old meories

  • how come Queen Fossil and Fire Fossil are larger than Great Thing? shouldn't he be like the biggest boss of them all

  • "Accordion Hazard" is the greatest boss name of all time.

  • Props to you for getting hit only 2 times in these vids especially against the tougher bosses.

Viewing that certainly brought back some really awesome memories and I am glad I took the time to watch it! =D Thanks for uploading! =D

What viewers who have not played this game before may not get/understand is that with those HUGE LASER counters that are done, you press the button SO fast your arm muscles burn! XD All while dodging bullet blitzes!

  • I remember playing that game when i was a kid....very cool game and and my favourite is when i blast that laser and make bigger and bigger . . . .:):):)

  • Este juego es muy bueno bueno bueno!!! me gustaria volverlo a jugar otra vez : )

  • Wow, truly impressive again saucy!

  • One of my favourite boss battles to watch, for both the furious two-way hori gameplay and grave atmosphere. As usual you play brilliantly!

After all these years I've just realised, the robotic voice in "Adam" (BGM) is saying "I-am-I-am" isn't it? Such an ominous yet rocking boss track.

  • Yeah, G-Darius has some very memorable boss fights.

You're right about the robotic voice. "I am" and the title of the track are both biblical references, I think.

  • Same here - the purported meaning of "G" (Genesis) fits the theme too. I've read over the years that this is supposed to be the first in the Darius timeline, so maybe there's a double meaning.

Taito seemed to like imbuing their shooters with further references that way. I've read Raystorm's bosses are named after generals who opposed the Roman empire, which fits the storyline. Metal Black's third boss looks like a reference to Sisyphus. Or it may be just a dung beetle... hard to tell with MB.

  • Old comment, but... it is the first in the timeline. And Great Thing's ending is the Belzer taking the Thiima Great Thing to be later replicated into their dreaded battleship- used in all later conflicts (Gaiden, Twin, and so on).

  • @nebanks80 that's why i placed the soundtrack on my favorites. almost every gigantic battle should have this theme on many games
