Hope that was helpful, since I'm Spanish, so I'm using two non-first languages!
hello, can i ask you or any viewers a question. I know my french verbes quite well. but what confuses me is the sound of il/elle verbes and ils/elles verbes because they sound the same. So if you were having a french conversation with someone how would they know your trying to say for example "they eat" and not "he/she eats".
@domenicoscot There is a slight difference in pronunciation when saying il/elle(he/she) and ils/elles (They mixed or all male/They all female) When you pronounce ils or elles with a verb like if you say ils ont or elles ont you would want to make a z sound with the s so the ils or elles would flow right into the next word. You do not do this with il or elle with a verb. Plus if you don't here the z sound with the ils/elles in the conversation there is always context clues to tell you also.
i had really problem in my french it is my 2nd laznguage i have to study it and i love it!!!mais je sais pas comment je veux developper ma langue !!!je l'ai etudié de 7 ans mais !!!reste faible!!aide moi ,repond moi stp
I think it's not possible to learn french just with a dictioinary or any book, we need to HEAR someone speaking, otherwise we can't get the tone of the voice.
I think this whole 'need in English' thing is just sheer laziness. Want to learn the language? Make a bloody effort. Don't expect people to do all the work for you.
Charliebr73 como hispanoparlante puedo entender portugues e italiano por su similitud con el castellano. Pero no pasa lo mismo con el frances a pesar de ser una lengua latina. Por lo tanto no encuentro que el frances sea tan similar al portugues ni a las otras lenguas latinas.
pero mira los verbos en infinitivo ... la mayoria termina en "er", es muy similar al español, por lo tanto es muy facil distinguir los verbos en frances
danser=danse demander=demand devenir celebre=become donner rendez-vous=give appointment dormir=sleep ecouter la radio=listen to the radio emmener=bring emprunter=borrow eclore=blossom ecrire=write etudier=study
Its such a shame that more then one person asked to put an English translation ! Haven´t you seen the pictures while hearing the speaker... I´ll give you a hint: They go along with the verbs ! I would bet my shirt that those morons are from the U.S. ... some Americans are so slow to understand !
i do not mean to criticize, i´m at the same position - student of French lang. that´s why i needed to say something, cuz instead of moaning, i just grab a dictionary and look it up..it´s even faster if not only easier!
we need the verbs in the past and futur too and which is important that we want to know how can we eventually speek french by formating those verbs in sentence
These videos seem okay, but I think it could be slow learning if they're the only learning source. It could lead to frustration and eventual quitting altogether.
Check out "paulneedzaeducation com" for some really useful language learning tips.
YOU MUST WRITE THE VERBS AND PRONUNCIATE THEM BUT NOT JUST TO SAY THEM, WE NEED BOTH.
Excuse me please for mayus letters but I needed you read me over the other people, I think this is fundamental for your video and teaching. Good luck, I know you can.
If ur serious about using you tube don't use this video, it's a joke, some of them don't show the right thing and u might end up understanding the idea wrong. Seriously.
His point was to make it possible for a person with any first language be able to learn French. I.E. a German person could learn just as well as an African.

Mais oui pour ceux qui ne parlent pas le francais c'est pas tres utile ;)a moins que l'on puisse deviner lol
Lool, thanks for your english advice, but being english i think i have a fairly ok grasp of english grammar ;) it was merely short hand given that the aim of the video is to teach french verbs, not english verbs! It was for the english people who wanted to know what it meant it's not an english lesson!

That's not true. Obviously if you compare with chinese french will be closer to portuguese.

It is true. French, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and Romanian all come from Latin. They are all very similar in many instances.

I said that they were similar in many ways, not that they were entirely similar. Look at the verb structure for example, they are very similar.

It's True the infinitive verbs ends with "er" , is very similar to the sapanish language, and is pretty easy to distinguish the frenchs verbs

@gabojc Not all of them! They can end with -er, -ir or -re. :)

@DrVegal French and Spanish are considerably less similar than Spanish and Portuguese, as you say. The differences are more than 'de minimis.'
