  • The true definition of HORSEpower!

  • 0:36 Jesus...

  • right hand car?

  • Haha funny thing, I've got a '67 parts car that basically got the same treatment as yours. It's undoubtedly a '67 car but has '68 fenders and a '68 grill setup. Funny what parts can be combined.

  • There needs to be some video of this car...on the road...make it so number 2!

  • I fucking want that.

  • is this in Australia ?

  • wheres my drool bucket

  • It's actually a small block....

  • Ignore those stupid comments from jealous people.......nice car and love that big block sound!

  • @fanof3lisa its a stroked small block dude ; )

  • @lukeshytalker02 dude?

  • @fanof3lisa sorry are you a dudette ? lol

  • @lukeshytalker02 Yes with the name Lisa, I am a dudette! It still has a big block sound though, doesn't it?

  • @fanof3lisa yeah i thought you were a dude that was a fan of a girl named lisa lol, and yes it sounds very badass

  • @lukeshytalker02 fanof dale earnhardt lisa

  • @fanof3lisa yeah i missed the '3' lol

  • @lukeshytalker02 tis ok!

  • nice car and a good sound! Pity that in Germany are not so many Mustangs....

  • what bitch! ..i just asked was it a 390 cubic inch or 302 cubic inch since it is a 1967 mustang ..as a historian i know most of the stangs with the exeption of the shelby's in 1967 were either the gt 390 or the 302 . just asked a fuckin simple question waiting an answer from the poster of the vid ... fuckin bastard

  • Yeah I removed his comment. Its a 351w stroked to 408.

  • @fashizze

I assume the guy didn't understand what you were asking fashizze, but yeah back then alot of them did come with 302's!

  • haha texas licence plate

  • OmG VTAK just kicked in y0!

I'm definitely a 4cyl/straight-6 kind of guy but god damn i love this sound

in the end there's never any replacement for good old-fashioned muscle cars

  • is that a 390 or 302

  • what numbers did it put down?

  • Vtec!!!!!!

  • looks like a 1968

  • 67 and 68 are basicly the same and look alot alike, however notice the pretend rear 'brake vents' or whatever they're called

  • the horse on the grill is 1968 not 1967

  • That is true. It was in a front end wreck with a previous owner, has a '68 front end. But thats what made me not feel too bad about modding a classic, there really wasn't a whole lot of factory parts left on it by the time I got a hold of it.

  • I modded my 67 from 200 ci to 351W. It also has the side vents like yours.

  • @mustangduckk this version is a 57 due to the side vents being louvered and not scoop

  • i call them fake air thingys

  • @ononsual its a 67 dude...look at the body not the grill..

  • this is a melody for my ears and temptation for my eyes... god I love that car

  • that's right, me too ;]

  • the older stangs I THINK are faster than the new ones

  • They are not. That's sad but true.

  • Stock for stock, nope. But dollar for dollar they sure are, same with 5.0's..

  • what are the #'s ?

  • damn i have this same car, only urs is better! Hands Down!

  • fuk me i actually nutted one off to this vid at 0.38 secs, lol nice car m8

  • beautiful that will rip ass open amazing

  • How do you stroke a windsor so much? That's insane. Do you have a stroker kit? And I'm builiding up my 1966 coupe. It has a 302 and about 300 horse it's a mild setup. Is there anything I can do besides dumping money into a supercharger?

  • twin turbos

  • Yes, But it's extremely hard to keep it maintained. And I havnt ever seen a twin turbo classic mustang, because it ruins it. The mustangs didn't come with turbos back then and I want to keep mine original I was looking into a replica paxton shelby supercharger. But there's no way I'd put twins on it would be to gay.

  • yeah I agree with a classic muscle car the only FI you can go with is a supercharger but even that isnt a great idea. one should go for higher compression heads, a stroker, or a cam before considering going FI on a classic it just seems out of place.

  • Exactly, the shelbys came with paxtons from the factory I want to keep it as orginal as possible. By the way I'm getting a stroker crank, and I've got a cam but I have lower compression heads for my superchager set up, the higher compression is like straining the motor and you could warp stuff or even blow something, so I'm at 9.5:1 compression and blower pistons.

  • shifter

yeah bro im taking my 302 and i just bought new trickflo cylinder heads,4 barrel carb, edelbrock intake manifold performer edition, and i gonna change my compression ratio to about 10.8 to 11 to 1 and im trying to get 400 rwhp and its about 2500 dollars worth but im also taking my block to remachined and cleaned up in solvents and stuff my uncle is gonna help me do it within the next 3 to 4 weeks good luck on your car i have a 1969 coupe

  • If i was you, i would stroke it. also, thise heads better flow really good with a 300+cfms at 600 lift, a big roller cam (250+ .50 duration) and 650 or more lift with a super victor or a victor... and you will be around 500+hp to the crank

  • You can stroke a 302 to a 331 or a 347 (347s won't last you as long though.) I am probably going to help my friend out by stroking the 302 in his 67 to a 331, more reliable, more torque, and you can still rev the hell out of it.

  • you can actually stroke and bore it to pretty much whatever you want under 355 or so. unless you get a kit, which can be easier.

  • that rumbling v8 id such an awesome sound, what is that high pitched whistle sound?

  • whistly noise is air flowing into the carb.

  • i think petrol pump

  • ive owned a 65 a 67 and a 69 the frame geometry and strength sucks big time carroll shelby himself said we were sticking huge engines in rattraps back then....man he was right

  • which is why his cars, and all the Mustangs turned race cars since then, have had subframe connectors and roll cages welded in... as have almost al the muscle cars of the era

  • for all of u people that think mustangs are wimpy this video will prove u wrong

  • the windsor is a bad ass motor. I have a 408 stroker windsor in my 68. dude, they run like hell. It made 420rwhp on motor and 581 rwhp on spray. windsor is the best small block for lots of cubic inches and power!

  • Mustangs don't handle? You have a civic? Bring on your 1967 Civic and let's see it handle. Mustangs handled well enough to pretty much eradicate the SCCA competition of the day, and plenty of parts are available to bring them up to today's standards. Now, who cares how that civic handles when it is 5 miles behind when it gets to the corner?

  • Is that a 351-W or a 351-C in it, cause i have a 72 Mach with a built, bored and stroked 351-C to a 408, and from wat i know thats as far as you can go with a cleveland because of the coolant passages. In a Windsor I know it can be stroked far more thats why I am asking wat is in yours.

  • Mine is a Windsor. I've heard of people stroking Cleve's to the amount, but I've also heard it costs more and can have oiling problems. So I went for the Windsor.

  • cool.

  • siiiicckk man

  • man that has to be the best looking muscle car around

  • good noise..lovely car

  • I got voted out of the neighborhood for starting a Ford like that. Now I get a rock when trick or treating.

  • huh

  • lol nice dude

  • nice dude. makes me want to fire up the 302 right now and piss off the neighbors.

  • american muscle are good drag cars but their handling kinda sucks, but thats my opinion I own a civic, 350Z, and a SS camaro(original power). I never really worked on them yet.

  • quote: their handling kinda sucks... I own a civic and a 350z

    Haha! I'm sorry.... lol

I live in Texas. The roads are flat and straight, handling isn't an issue. The racing is done 1/4 mile at a time, and from stoplight to stoplight, where the muscle car is king.

  • heeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy never do ANYTHING to that SS or it can lose its value! =D

  • haha well it's only 42 years old!

  • In 67 the Japanese had their Toyota version of the VW Bug. To date they still can't match the fire power and good looks of American Muscle.

  • i tihnk i nutted in my shorts from the sound of this car

  • blue 65 mustang,408, green parking pass hanging from the mirror? this car looks pretty familiar! Haha, can't wait until you get back David.

  • he saıd" ıts got to be better..but stıll great"

  • daha ii olmalıydı.. ama yinede züper

  • Anyone know what uzunerc said????

  • harika / magnifique

  • at 0:45 sec nice

  • AMAZING!!! I have both a '68 GT Fastback and a '67 coupe, but as of now neither run. Can't wait though! Sweet ride man! Mustangs forever!

  • Cool!

    Les

  • ive a got an 07 gt and thats the only car i would trade it for. your a lucky man.

  • hell yes texas mustangs cant beat em!!

  • I'll agree with the first poster, at 37 seconds.....WOW! sweet ride man!

  • Rock on man! American horsepower all the way. Imports suck

  • Sorry. It was running rough and had a smaller cam with a worn out exhaust lobe that day. It made 347hp and 450lbs of torque at the rear wheels. Now it has a bigger cam and hits on all 8. Next time I'm hoping for 400hp and 500lbs of torqe.

  • If you're gonna post a dyno pull, at least give us the results

  • American muscle! lol

  • OOOOOH i have a 67 mustang too. only its red. i am currently in the process of fixing it up. needs a new muffler, possibly a whole new exaust line, and i think the fuel pump. then some body work. mustangs are awesome.

  • 1967 ford mustang gt, that is my car!!

  • It's not a GT. Only Fastbacks wore the GT logo in '67-'68. But still an awesome car. With that motor, it would outrun a stock GT.

  • Thats not true. If it's a GT, coupe/ fastback or convertible, it says GT or in my car's case GTA on the side at the bottom of each fender (among other places throughout the car)

  • No. It is true. Ford's Vin number log proves it. All cars in 1967 and '68 that were Gt's or GTA's are logged as having the sportsroof option. In non ford lingo, fastbacks. Anything other than that is aftermarket or cloned.

  • You're misinformed. I have a factory GTA Mustang. It's been documented by Ford and Kevin Marti. I have a Licensed by Ford document stating that my car is an actual GTA or for those not familiar with GTA's a GT with an automatic. It has an emblem, like all other GT's do on the lower half of the front fenders behind the wheel wells. Believe what you want, but I've been building Mustangs for a long time. You can believe it, or don't... either way... fastbacks were not the only real GT's.

  • I'll look into it further. However, I have never ever come across anything that would be considered hard evidence that suggests your idea to be true. But it is possible. Just like a '67 GT500 convertible, Very very very very rare.

  • If you really are interested, send me a private message and I will give you some links to check. You can give me your email address and I'll send you some pics of my car and other GT coupes and convertibles. They are kinda rare, but no more rare than a GT fastback... although there seems to be more of those on the road now than there was 10 years ago (clones/ fakes). Kinda like Shelbys.

  • weren't the california specials GTs? they weren't fastbacks right?

  • right

  • they did have the fender add on that fastbacks had

  • your right, that Mustang CS were coupes with a shelby look... but they are still nice cars though

  • I like them quite a bit. My knowledge on mustangs is limited when it come to rare types like the couple shelby that has the SAME tail lights as normal coupes. only 3 made I think...

  • now this is sweet! id love to have that car!

  • holy shit dude that was awesome.

  • what a sound my god i luv it i just listen to 00:37 its the best sound ever
