I love my new Zune... the hardware part of it. The PC software is seriously screwing with me. All my playlists, album art, and tracks infos are f***ed by the dumb software. I had to resort to hacking to use Winamp for song syncs.

i would rather have an i touch, than this (which i do) but over an 80 g ipod, i would rather have an 80 g zune. bad experiences with the ipod videos. they keep freezing, and completly dying. but i dont have a ton of music so an 8GB itouch fits me well. also, people said the itouch was very glitchy, but really, its fine, ive had it for over 3 months now and it works great. but over this or an 80 GB ipod, i would take the zune

oh cool does the itouch get dirty easily i've seen some at school that look real dirty and scratched. And yeah you just got to really try it out to know how good it is. And they say the zune software is really glitchy, I havn't experienced anything that bad with it.

the screen on mine has some scratches, about 2, almost invisible, on camera they cant even be seen. and the back, it scratches really really easilly. one minute its brand new, then after a day at school in your pocket, its completly brushed. it looks like brushed stainless steel only more chrome looking. but the screen is easy to clean. the software though, when it says you need to update the software, then do it.

i dont use a case, and ive had it with headphones in there, my cellphone, a magnet, and once a box of nails. and its just the back thats scratched, i have also dropped it about 5 times. 3 times on solid concrete and the only major damage was the wifi cover. but that was plastic and it snapped easilly back on.

Oh wow that thing sounds really durable. If a magnet and a box of nails didn't do much I wouldn't worry about it scratching up under normal use. One time I was trying to wipe some dirt off of the screen of my old 30gig zune with the cloth/case that comes with it and it scratched. It wasn't deep but you could see it in the sunlight. I think I might've been pressing hard I don't remember.

the itouch comes with a polishing rag also, so you dotn have to worry about that, though i lost mine, any fabric will work, the worse thing that can get on the screen is smudges. but dont step on it, or throw it hard or drop it from a 3 story window, other than that its pretty good. i have over 9 videos and 150 songs, along with about 40 pics and i havnt even used 1 GB of memory

In most cases, unfortunately, you have to pay to access those hotspots. Wi-fi is good, however, if you are transfering files between the computer and the media device and you don't want to hassle with cables.
