Thank you so much for this video. I have recently been diagnosed with POTS at age 26 (been dealing with severe chronic pain for 13 years now) and have had some stomach issues, but nothing severe. Though I do have the severe memory/concentration problems and stomach pains, which are getting more frequent. I am definitely thinking I am a candidate for diagnoses, so this video was very informative and helpful. Congrats on helping the family - I am sure they are happy with you! ;)
@iamaphotonut - (like your monaker by the way) - Yes, it does sound highly likely that you have celiac disease when you combine the test result with the symptoms you experienced.
Do you have a doctor to assist? The first step is, of course, complete gluten elimination, but then we need to follow up with treating the secondary effects.
If you'd like a free health analysis, I'd be more than happy to provide that. Call 408-733-0400.
@7digitalSunday - Have you been diagnosed with gluten intolerance? Or, if you're just experimenting on your own, have you noticed improvement on a gluten-free diet?
I do appreciate the planning and perhaps need for a large cooler to house foods you can eat while on the road, but I do know that it would be worth it if gluten is affecting your nervous system.
Let me know some more information and then I can perhaps help you more.
Ive had mental fog all my life. i am 52 now and it is getting worse. i have felt an unsteady gate maybe. i had a hair test done about 5 years ago and it showed high manganese. right now i am working an MD/ND here in Pgh, it got so bad i had to do something. one problem is i am an over the road truck driver, how do i do a gluten free diet while driving a truck? i had a chicken salad and mcdonalds and it really wasnt bad and i felt good after eating it. but what else?
I had a celiac disease complete panel done. It says limits 70-400. Mine was 518, does that mean I have celiac? I had the test because I had cut out bread & grains on a diet then I noticed if I cheated it tore my stomach up. I have been in pain for 3 days now. A constant lower abdominal pain, not a gas type pain that comes in waves though it feels like gas or menstrual cramps. The bloating is unreal! My abdomen is tender to the touch, even hurts vaginal to sit or walk. No gas or belching.
@proctk - I'm glad you've noticed so many positive change after going gluten-free. If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact me. Our destination clinic treats patients from across the country and itnernationally. You can call for a free consultation to 408-733-0400.
I would love to meet you. You are amazing! Here is a quick version of my story...
I went off of gluten selfishly to loose weight (being a mom of 3 with fibromyalgia I never had enough energy to go around) Surprisingly my "tension" headaches I'd had for 14 YEARS!!! disappeared! I've never felt better. My mental fog is nearly gone. Within 2 days I noticed my bloating and headaches were gone. It was almost immediate that I noticed changes.
Thanks for these videos I hope they can help others!
There is no known research supporting the reversal of a gluten intolerance. Perhaps you had a wheat allergy - that's very different. The treatment you received is used for true allergies but not celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, there are quite different. I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea. I am glad it worked well for you but unless you have a true allergy to wheat you may want to monitor your immune system in a few months. The result may be temporary.
@healthnowmedical People are to stubborn and ignorant to follow it, I lost 40LB and feel great Gluten and dairy is poison anyway! but thats like going against apple pie and baseball. people look at you like your insane! and doctors and big Pharma want us sick!!

What are the foods that your body might mistake for gluten? Rice? Potatoes?
