My Dad and I do this all the time, this course is just a stepping stone onto the kind of thing we are doing. Mine and my Dads bikes combined have done almost 10,000 miles at "dead mans wilderness". How about 45 miles downhill through puddles! Did I mention this was just a warm up, after that we go climbing trees and shit! I like to think of danger as being my hobby, not something I should be avoiding.

my son and I, he is 21 i'm 44 and man this is a mickey mouse trail for us. my bike has almost 2000 miles in it' at the Rockies in Colorado and most off trail.. try 45 miles down hill in spots with trees with only an inch of space on each side 30Mph... sharp rocks n gravel...that's a adrenaline challenge I'm a tree Climber by trade 30 years exp. @muschel I live near this trial and ride it regularly on my '09 Rocky Mountain Flatline Pro.
This trial gets pretty rough, by no means is it the most difficult trail. But it really makes me glad i have 8+" in rear wheel travel, and Saint brakes.
Also, using more brakes does make you go faster. I regularly race (generally place in top 10) and its not uncommon to glaze your pads over by the end of a race.
@123janwillem321 tell me about it. I now have a nice scar on my nose for not wearing a full face helmet and crashing going down a trail. Although I would look a bit dumb with a ffh just doing XC with my hardtail. :)
Nice riding. You guys got skillz. I just rode that trail on Sat - my third time on it and first time to complete all the sections. But I still rode around the drops and jumps though...too old to take those risks ;). I probably also rode it at half the speed you guys did! Keep on ridin'!
that trail is prob favorite trail localy but the camera makes that drop look small. the only pob is you have to climb to china flatts to get to it wich is hard on dh/fr bike

My Dad and I do this all the time, this course is just a stepping stone onto the kind of thing we are doing. Mine and my Dads bikes combined have done almost 10,000 miles at "dead mans wilderness". How about 45 miles downhill through puddles! Did I mention this was just a warm up, after that we go climbing trees and shit! I like to think of danger as being my hobby, not something I should be avoiding.

I don't understand why people dislike or talk trash about videos like this. the guy ripped it, all real riders know that he was having a great time. so enjoy the footage, use it to scope out a new trail and don't act like you're going to 'own' the the rider from the lazy armchair you're typing in.

my son and I, he is 21 i'm 44 and man this is a mickey mouse trail for us. my bike has almost 2000 miles in it' at the Rockies in Colorado and most off trail.. try 45 miles down hill in spots with trees with only an inch of space on each side 30Mph... sharp rocks n gravel...that's a adrenaline challenge I'm a tree Climber by trade 30 years exp. Danger is my hobby

@muschel I live near this trial and ride it regularly on my '09 Rocky Mountain Flatline Pro.
This trial gets pretty rough, by no means is it the most difficult trail. But it really makes me glad i have 8+" in rear wheel travel, and Saint brakes.
Also, using more brakes does make you go faster. I regularly race (generally place in top 10) and its not uncommon to glaze your pads over by the end of a race.

Nice riding. You guys got skillz. I just rode that trail on Sat - my third time on it and first time to complete all the sections. But I still rode around the drops and jumps though...too old to take those risks ;). I probably also rode it at half the speed you guys did! Keep on ridin'!
