  • i find it this way easier too but it use my middle finger to do the bar so i can get the high e clear is does it has to be the first finger?

  • i just love the elvis thing man!!!!!

  • I think I prefer three fingers to play this chord...

  • OMG IM ONE OF THE 40 PERCENT

  • I just love you !

GOD DAMN FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I KNOW UR SECRETS !!

well its still goes wrong to me but ... :)

  • but i have small fingers.....

  • I tried with middle finger with this and it worked. Alot easier than the 3 finger method tho its doable with large fingers.

  • I just started learning and I'm having a really difficult time learning the traditional 3 finger A chord because I have pretty large hands. Will I be at an extreme disadvantage using this technique and not being able to play the open E?

  • thank you so much, i started watching your videos without knowing how to play the guitar; now i know how to play it. thanks again and God bless you.

  • thats a g major 7 if you bar with the high e as well and the f# is in the a scale

  • my fingers are small plus that finger doesn't bend back at all. i haven't been able to do this but maybe at some later point, i'll try it out again. i have no problem at all playing A chord the regular way but I can see the mini barre being faster.

  • how you did that on 1:35?

  • I haz normal fingers and I lovez this mini bar! =)

  • haxx!11

  • Justin you are the best........

  • "Hallelulyer I can play mah Ayy Chord!"

  • Boy, i just downloaded a guitar chord chart and there's a thousand of them, i dont think i can memorize them all

  • @marvesmarves It's not a problem. Songs usually only contain around 5 chords, so just learn the chords for each song that you want to play. Pretty soon you'll find that can play all the major and minor chords without having to look at the fingering charts.

  • I have really small fingers, but it's still my preferred way of playing the A, I can even play the open E string without problems.

In the beginning my knuckle used to hurt a bit, but this disappeared after a few weeks.

  • its probably a lot faster using the a chord that way anyways i might change it

  • with big fingers it's best to use little finger on b string. also A variation are also closer this way.

of course a mini bar is great, because it makes it possible to mute the strings with other fingers.(zz top a la grande style)

  • your acoustic is so nice!

  • very helpful lesson for learning the barre A chord! nice one justin :)

  • Are not you hot with that hat?

  • we filmed it in the middle of winter!

  • damn! beaten to the '4th' comment?life aint worth living.

  • Hi Justin. You're great!

  • Damn that's a sweet guitar.

  • thanks justin... you are an awesome teacher :)

  • I started with using all three fingers on the A, then when I started playing some Clapton songs, I started to barre, but I can barre and still let the light E-string ring, all after how I want it.

  • This is how I started with A major from the beginning, easier to get all strings to ring out in my humble opinion.

  • hmn the A chrod.. do more variations on it : D

  • a mini bar, the best part of the hotel room..

  • heel yeh first comment!!
