I've seen numerous photos of SwitchEasy Canvas Cases in which cracks/chips have appeared in the corners of the polycarbonate cases (incidentally, only for charcoal-colored cases, so far). I hear that if the cases have been purchased directly from SwitchEasy (inc. a two year warranty), the company is very good about replacing the damaged cases promptly, but that they will not do so for cases bought through a third party (e.g., Amazon). Have you experienced any similar problems with your Canvas?

@layalibintmona the only time i had this problem was with my first canvas case that I took off and on many many times. All my other canvas cases have been fine.

@metagamers That's good to know. Thanks! It seems like you had a preference for the Canvas case. Is that the kind of case that you have ended up using, primarily, if you haven't transferred your ipad 2 from it much?

Also, thanks for showing the two different positions for typing, for the SwitchEasy Canvas. After seeing a video showing how difficult it can be to get the iPad 2 to remain in an appropriate position on one's lap with the Smart Cover folded up behind it, I was very curious about how functional other cases might allow the iPad 2 to be, on a lap. I could easily imagine at least the first Canvas typing position you demonstrated working well in such a situation.

The marware did not always have the elastic to hold the cover back in book mode. The one in the video doesn't have one and my first one (had a defect) didn't have one either.

You forgot to mention that the Marware has a rubber strap to keep the cover flap in place when placed in book mode.

Is the SwitchEasy Compatible with the Zagg Invisibleshield Full Body? I already have the Zagg installed and wanted to know if it will not fit (does not fit with Enkigear back cover).

@heemz87 the front yes but the back might be a very tight fit.

@metagamers Indeed, Reason I asked was because I had an Issue with the EnkiGear rear case not fitting at all. I originally went with the Smart case with the EnkiGear, but the protection at the edges is not great. I think the Switcheasy Canvas will be much better. Hopefully it fits!

CEO hybrid is awesome. But had to send back for a replacement. The small closing latch on the lid broke. I was too tight. I hope the new one is easier to clasp closed.

I just got my Marware C.E.O. Hybrid iPad 2 case and love it. It's slim, sturdy, and looks awesome. Thanks for the great side-by-side comparison of these two cases. The SwitchEasy looks great, but I prefer a slimmer profile for my iPad.

It's hard to make a decision without seeing/"test driving" a case beforehand. Glad to have your reviews to bridge that gap.

Great comparison video. I hope you do more. I was a huge fan of the Marware CEO case for the iPad 1, but not as much of it's iPad 2 version I think because the emphasis on how thin it's supposed to be. When I first saw the Switcheasy I was really impressed. Now I'm waiting to see the Joy Factory's Folio360 II For iPad 2 that seems a lot like the Switcheasy, but can rotated into the portrait position. Hopefully that won't add to much bulk.
