Hm... I guess they actually wanted to release Innocent Sin but just couldn't. It was a third party that made the game not be released, so they wanted people who can only play Eternal Punishment to know some small info of the game before...
That's good. :) It's not like EarthBound or something which has a game before it. Even Star Ocean had the title "The Second Story" even though the first wasn't originally released in America for some reason. And there could be others like this too.
I can't remember clearly and I might be awfully wrong about this, but I think the original Japanese release of "Eternal Punishment" had two discs, the game itself and some bonus materials for the second disc. When the game was ported to the US, they also made it a 2-disc, but removed the original contents of the bonus disc and featured an interview with the creators and this "Innocent Sin" trailer instead (to fill in some space, I suppose).
As far as I know, it's just that, a promotional trailer of the game depicting characters and some scenes. No scene of this trailer is actually featured in the game (or in any other of the "Persona" games).
Also, this is a trailer of "Persona 2: Innocent Sin", but it was featured in the American version of "Persona 2: Eternal Punishment".
I've been wanting to play both Persona 2 games for ages now, having played all of the SMT games for Ps2 (barring Devil Summoner) , but I live in the UK and not even Eternal Punishment made it over here =/
Watching this fantastic trailer has definitely motivated me, it looks like I'll have to use an emulator to play them both on my pc.
Persona 2: Another Self? You mean there really was supposed to be an anime like Trinity Soul? Or maybe they just titled it differently...

Well, it's a very dark series. It's to be expected, there's also lighter games like Katamari.

What exactly is this? An anime based on P2 or is it actually a montage of scenes from the game itself? Either way looks awesome!
