  • Bokken fighter needs to follow up some of those strikes with a good thrust! Would be much more effective.

  • great fight, very painful :) kudos to Traditional Weapons training, kenjitsu and FMA. There are more painful full contact sports out there than MMA :)

That's a nice synthetic FMA stick, it really took a pounding :)

  • Is this Odin ???

  • Hermoso huso del bokken

  • The bokken is able to land first more often because of it's length. This is awesome training!

  • var köpte du din cold steel bokken?

  • Holy crap....I was thinkin'a starting escrima stick fighting....but now.....I think I'd better get a gun.

  • Based on what I have seen here, the man we idling the Bokken made first contact on the left shoulder of the man wielding the stick. Were points being kept?

  • what sport is this?..

seems like a cross between kendo and fencing

  • I think it's Escrima.

  • Bokken looked too short to be handled with two hands.. and why were there no thrusts? Still, stick vs bokken is cool.

  • awesomes, but full contact just seems incredibly painful, i use wooden weapon no armour stuff, check out our videos, anyway we do 1/2 strength and it stills hurts like a b&^ch. full strength seems like your asking for fractures and serious injuries

  • rate me 1-10

k talk 2 you online! iB

  • i cant say for the kali guy but the guy with the weird lookin bokken had no clue what he was doing

  • if your kendo uses bamboo sticks or shinai for training. eskrima also uses its own version of bamboo sticks or shinai which is rattan stick. rattan stick is only used for training greens, its only experts that actually use machetes/bolo knife in drills you know. not unless you want your head to be chopped or you yourself decapitated, you should first practice first with sticks. understand now?

  • Johan K. was using one of my hollow "Stickman" HITS (for "High Impact Training Sticks). Nice to see this online!

  • kali all the way....

  • Will any of you be in LA this month for the gathering?

  • Yes I will be there and I have already set up two fights over the internet. One from Scotland! I live in L.A. and this will be my fourth gathering as a fighter although I have been to six gatherings total. P.S. This one will be the best! National geographic channel will be filming a documentary to air next fall. search: "Original Productions new shows" Peace!

  • Are you Spinebuster? you write like him. I'll be there. peregrine.

  • Spinebuster? No. My name is Tom. I fight with sticks and nunchaku(double and single)at the gatherings. You can see one of my nunchaku fights against Top Dog Eric Knaus on Dog Brothers "Gathering Of The Pack" video VOL 2. See quick glimpse 2x on DB website front page video clips Los Triques "Mood Piece".

  • The stick also represents a machete or long knife in filipino martial arts...

  • the sticks used by these guys are loonger than any machete or long knife i've ever seen.

  • How different is the Cold steel bokken from an oak one?

  • sorta different depending on ur skill lvl... it is slightly more elastic than the wooden 1 >.> but its hella more durable so id still hav that cause the weight diff is minimal

  • Umm...the bokken represents a sword. The other guy has a stick...representing a stick. If I hit you with a sword you are going to die...Period. This is dumb.

  • That's a misconception. Stick don't really represent stick. We can use blades too. We only use sticks to sport sparring because it's brutal both use real blades and most of the time "stick" training wins.

  • Well depends of the skill and quality of the sword and the skill and quality of the escrima. If you got into a fight with a skilled escrima fighter, he could probably beat a sword with a "stick". If nothing else he has put about an inch or two of wood between your sword and his body, giving him a counter-attack.

  • its called eskrima.... or w.e its spelt sry XD and it represents a machete fool

  • a machete fool too can decapitate your ignorant head or make mincemeat on you.

  • @iamscoutstfu actually, the Escrima can be translated to shortswords, and believe me, i can kill you just as easily with one of those as wit ha sword.

  • Here is my "Blogg" (Im the one whith the Stick)

    w dash se

there is pictures of my leg after this fight,,,,

  • cool

  • Kali Sitat kicks ass, PERIOD.

  • yeah, that bokken could kill you or break any bone in you body with ease.

  • Big Balls guys ! I´m fighting with sticks and bokken myself, but would never go out to a full contact sparring against an oak bokken - respect !

  • Framförallt är ju domaren helt OTROLIGT LÄCKER!!! ;)

  • Framförallt är domaren helt OTROLIGT LÄCKER!!! ;)

  • Striking was too simple and the stick guy should've pressed the action since he had the open check hand. But those hits do hurt so I do understand the reticence.

    Peace

  • nice

  • Han inte bara rör sig snyggt, han är söt också.

  • Han rör sig ganska quickt, den "kraftigt bygde" med trikåerna
