My aunt has lung cancer. She lives in a nursing home now. But its not the same I can't go over to her house and spend the night. My aunt is my best friend she has been through alot with me when I was little I had major head problems every body though I had a tumor or something. But my aunt stayed right beside me through it all. My uncle that basically raised me like a daughter died over the summer from a long term disease. I was in college and across the country doing an internship and my real dad called me to say that my uncle died. It didnt hit me until the radio was on and this song played. I didnt think I could cry so much but it made sense afterwards because I didnt just loose a close relative, I lost a father too.

This reminds me of my grandma. She was hurting and been resisitated so many times, I'm glad shes gone but it left a huge pain with my family. I lost my little sister to cancer. She was 7 and actually died in my arms. She was very sick and the hospital still let her go home because she said she felt fine. She was a strong little girl and still is. I love you little sis <3 We always will

this song reminds me of my big bro thaat died in 2007 bc of a car accident .. He wanted me to go with him.. Buut i didnt. I was on vacation when i got the phone call from my mom telling me hes gone.. It was the worst thing thaat has ever happened to me.. he was the person i told everything to.. @246soccerchick i lost my grammy a year ago.. she passed away 2 days before her birthday!! i actually watched her take her last breath.. one of the hardest things i've ever had to deal with.. my grammy was like a mother to me.. keep your head up! the pain will never go away but you'll get through it.

this reminded me of my grandmother who passed away on july 22 of 2010 my birthday was on july 25 and my older cousin's was on july 28 and we thought was going to make it but she didnt we both ended up going to funerals on our birthdays and my parents felt really bad. my mom thought though that the cancer would hold off just for me but i guess god had other plans..... :/

They did a tribute to a girl who died not long ago at my best friend's dance recital to this song, and I cried through the whole thing because I had known her since preschool and we faded away from eachother around 4th grade. Now her and I would be Seniors next year.

This reminds me a lot about the death of our close family friend, called Powers. I remember my brother and mom crying their eyes out the worst. I mostly sat there numbly until it all hit me. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to his death, because he was jumped by some kids who were high on meth. I remember singing the same parts over and over from this song. "Flew up to heaven on the wings of angels." and "Past where no one sees." We miss you Powers, and you'll always be in our hearts!

My brother's ex girlfirend's mm died due to a car crash. Someone hit her and she wasnt wearing her seatbelt so she passed on with god. This reminds me of my grandma. She was hurting and been resisitated so many times, I'm glad shes gone but it left a huge pain with my family. She passed in december and we decided in june, on her birthday, to put her ashes on her dad's grave. So they can be together. Then i might be able to not worry

lost my grandma and 'papaw' this winter, its hurts but its better to think they are with the lord. it is painful, to not have them here when i want them to be. They wont get to get see me graduate, but they arent hurting which is always a plus

Her loss was compounded by losing dad in 2005, he also to cancer. Wow...can hardly hear this without crying. My aunt died of cancer after 2-3 years....I was "her little angel" She stayed happy, kind, optimistic, and beautiful. She was a daughter, wife, mother, and a beloved aunt. She even was buried with every bracelet and necklace I ever made her. She was literally up to her chin and elbows in plastic jewelry....I never got to tell her goodbye on my own.
