Let me clarify. I am a Malaysian. And Let me let you guys know, I didn't say good things about Malaysia just because I'm a Malaysian.

What I would like to inform is abt the issue at hand. Legally, Malaysia has not passed any law allowing illegals to be caned. In Malaysia, now, there are more than 1million illegal immigrants. Should we passed the law, then the illegals won't be as much as now. But we didn't do that.

And let me inform that all laws allowing for caning to be passed were striked out in the Parliament.

We also sympathize with their plight, as we believe they must have a reason to fled their own motherland to seek better future elsewhere.

We are one and we are all humans. That is what many NGOs in Malaysia are doing, helping our fellow humans. Let me remind you guys that Malaysia has done more than any other ASEAN countries in this matter. Though not enough, we're doing the best we could

Trivia Trivia Trivia: You Could not proof it, You Didn't know at all what's going on over there. Coz, I do know that, a lot of them were deported to Thai Border in Jungle and threw like carbage!. Coz i saw them and help some of them out.

I don't intend to start a fight with you, so please dun provoke me :-) Yeah, I could not prove it, but what could you prove? Malaysia has done more than any other ASEAN countries, and much more than Australia & Singapore. Please read halla70's comment.

I have kickstart a program of my own, to help fellow immigrants who finds it hard to live in Malaysia. We have opened a refuge house in Selayang to cater for refugees. We can't provide political asylum, but believe me, we didn't cane illegals.

Just for some clarification, in your statement, malaysia caned male refugees before deporting them to Thai is incorrect.

Malaysia has never did that to illegal immigrants before. And FYI Malaysia doesn't have a provision in its law to cane illegal immigrants.

However, I do sympathize with the plight of the refugees. Hope their future will get better.

Since May 2002, Malaysia did caned any illegal immigrat including refugee as not a signatory to 1951 Refugee Convention. I think you are not Malaysian as you know almost nothing about Immi Act of Malaysia regarding illegal immigrant.

And I do follow closely the progress of this issue. :-) Yes, we seldom provide political asylum, but believe me, we didn't cane illegals.

What saddens me is that you've tarnish the good image of my country, and yet seek for our help to give them refuge. It's really counter productive. We are doing our best to help them, trust us.

And I think you got the wrong fact about caning, we didn't do that. It could be SIngapore & Australis as they have far more draconian laws.
