  • Fucking Epic!

  • The harmonies at the end are positively fugal!

  • how could anyone dislike this

  • Love this guys, saw them live, even met Josh, Rob and... "Piano man" (I can't remember his name but he did sneak me and a friend in the venue, we're 17 and we had no IDs so I kinda feel an idiot not remembering his name. I was stoned though) and, is it just me or... there's ice between them, up on the stage?

  • Awesome harmonies

  • how could people dislike this?

  • Love them madly <3

  • I like the live version of this song better than the album version. It's just much more intense.

  • They are so freakin' awesome live. I want to see them so bad.

  • @Willro91 you know when they coming to the states???

  • @condorjq26 No, I think their tour just ended.

  • very strong sense of deja vu with this band.... ah thats it .. the waterboys from the 80s!!

  • everyone has different opinions deal with it and learn to love each other.

  • what the heck is this for boyband!?!?!

  • @frits121 Wtf are you bullshitting about? This is definitely not a fucking boy band. They write their own songs and can actually play instruments. Oh, and they don't fucking dance, thank god.

  • Thank you, very much.

  • Dear god this is stunning x

  • To me, Robin seems really nervous in this video. It is heartwarming.

  • Imagine this with a snare drum.

  • This band makes me so damn happy.

  • @RipleyisBA not to everyone it does. Including myself

  • @RipleyisBA They are pure antidepressant. Best band in the world.

  • 3:40 robins going crazy on his guitar 3:42 the drummers calmly playing lol

  • liquid honey music

  • Fleet Foxes make my heart light up.. lord.

  • These guys are phenomenal life!

    Best current band out there!

  • looks like Robin isn't wearing any trousers!

  • If you love Fleet Foxes, you'll LOVE Caliver!! Guaranteed!!

  • Perfeito! ^^,

  • word! .......up :)

  • 3:30 is pure fucking ecstasy. That's it.

  • Seeing them a week from tomorrow in Santa Barbara!

  • Seeing Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver and The Walkmen in less than two weeks. SO excited. :,D

  • @Keyaaaah Gah! So pissed Bon Iver won't be with them in Seattle on Tuesday!

  • Seeing these guys in concert sep 20th, can't wait!

  • @BlasterTon Best live performers that I have ever seen!

  • From this moment on, I am quitting reading Youtube user video comments

  • Who the fuck are you guys...your answers are fucked up. This group if extraordinary. Keep you ego ball comments to yourselves. Geeeeeezzzz

  • fleet foxes is pure raw beautiful music, normally I'd leave people to their own opinions however anyone who can't see the beauty in this band will probably never know beauty in their lifetime.

  • @PatagonianRailways Yeah but I think I saw something similar before, a guy named Paul playing the same bass along the past century, in a small band called.. the Beetles ..or maybe the Beatles or sort of ;)

  • FYI I am giving this thumbs down.

  • Absolute fucking magic!

  • i need to see this band before i die.

  • @wildcomfort88 You should.saw them a couple of months ago, think my mouth was open the whole time, got tickets for their december tour too :))

  • @floosybow they'll be in aussie (where i live) for the new year. but i'll be in new zealand. P.S i cant get over bedouin dress. its by far my favourite song released this year.

  • @wildcomfort88,The whole album is amazing,Love Bedouin Dress,The Cascades is another of my fav's,That's a pure shame you will miss them.I'd be tempted to cancel N.Z :D

  • @dynospectrum Nope. They just look similar. Both are epic

  • the drummer plays for mgmt too

  • id love to be sat in the pub listening to these guys.... happy days

  • dude, woow

  • *like*

  • The harmonies at the end + Robin's shouting "To attain it" blow my mind.

  • 6 people are swimming in shallow waters

  • he trimmed the jesus beard, noooooooo!

  • I'm a fan... but these guys look like they need shower.

  • that drum set Josh uses is itty bitty!

  • My favorite song by my favorite band. Ever. <3

And DAMN, 2:06, get it Robin! :'D

  • His mannerisms and even appearance here reminds me of John Fahey.

  • Mmmmmmmm

  • Yeah, dude. Sun Giant is an EP. Extended Play. Basically a longer single. Self-Titled and Helplessness Blues are LPs, or what are generally referred to as 'albums'.

  • god what a voice

  • Thank god for Jools Holland

  • it's their third album, not their second.

  • @TayluhDawnHale second actually.

  • @meotoko77 1.Sun Giant 2. Fleet Foxes. 3.Helplessness Blues

  • @TayluhDawnHale Sun Giant wouldnt be considered an album though.....would it??

  • @meotoko77 Why wouldn't it?

  • @TayluhDawnHale Im going along the lines of LP(album) and EP differences. LP being more official with about more songs then the EP Sun Giant.

  • @TayluhDawnHale its a matter of opinion I guess.

  • LIKe it FLTFX tnx U2b

  • i sit down when i jam too

  • No band in this era can pull of harmonies like The Fleet Foxes do. Just as good as the album version, if not better...

  • This is Good, Sound like The Phoenix Foundation a bit

  • Unpretentious and inviting is how Id describe their music and this performance shows exactly why.

  • 3:10 = everything you can ask for....beautiful.

  • I absolutely love this band!! Their music makes me want to walk through a prairie or high grown wild flowers ;)

  • @TygaWoooo .this is a UK late night show hosted by Jools Holland (Jools was the pianist in UK Band Squeeze in the 70s/early 80s). Fleet Foxes have a huge following over here.

  • Saw Fleet Foxes at Hammersmith Apollo last week, absolutly magical concert,

  • Their concert in D.C. was the most amazing, awe-inspiring musical feast I have just about ever heard. They were magnificent.

  • Some cool humans hey...

  • this was so amazing it made me cry... WOW...

  • The more I listen to this song, the more I feel it's going to act as a sort-of anthem to me. I've got my fingers crossed I can see them in July...hearing this live would make life just a wee bit less miserable.

  • @ilikegiants36 Get your tickets asap. They sell out fast.

  • this whole album is like a good dream

  • I love the song,I absolutely love the originality.

I really don't care much about looks but I'm only wondering, are they by any chance hippies?

  • @OldNoir hahahaha ;-)

  • @shootmyrunner hey, no need for that. Mumford and sons are a great band as well.

  • This is why punk music was invented.

  • Comment removed

  • A little harsh - true, but harsh nevertheless.

  • Going to Rome by train next week from Glasgow and holy shit, i'm taking these guys with me. First time i heard this track and you gotta think, that album's gonna be a winner for some travelling music!!

  • awesome!

  • it wins because they give it everything. they believe in their song.

  • 3:42 One of the guitar strings couldn't handle Robin's amazing playing and jumped ship.

  • love it :-)

  • @JackRhysSmith Haha. That's really funny. Yeah. That review was totally ridiculous. I'm sure the reason it was so bad was because Robin probably refused to play their game.

  • Patti Smith has described how she once contemplated suicide, but had decided against it on the basis that she would miss the next Rolling Stones record. Now, at last, there's a good reason for the new generation to think twice before jumping ship.

  • "In my dream I could hardly contain it. All my life I will wait to attain it." Holy crap.

  • love the new record, this song is so mesmerizing

  • I think for 3 minutes of this song I was just kind of in a trance, staring at the screen with my mouth open, mesmerised.

  • I have to get that jumper! God if someone finds it or one like it please tell me!

  • WARNING! Content Addictive!

  • 2:06 amazing voice!

  • What is the name of the hobo on the right

  • I swear thats the guitar that Stornoway use??

  • I love how there are five seconds of silence before the audience realize what they've witnessed and starts clapping

  • @Torbjaaarn that's cuz they didn't know the song was over, its a bit of an abrupt ending. still a great performance .

  • This will surely live on! :) Amazing stuff

  • really who is the 1 person that does not like this..... bin laden is dead can't be him... who has no soul?

  • @stogaballer23 i wouldn't worry about it, after all its their loss.

  • @stogaballer23 rakim? wait, no.

  • @stogaballer23 Bush?

  • @stogaballer23 10 people don't like this.

  • @Alexizephyrmage9 yo pussboy that comment is from 4 months ago....you should be listening to the music, not looking at comments from almost half a year ago

  • @stogaballer23 yo honey that comment is from a week ago...you should be looking at boys, not replying to comments from almost half a month ago

  • This is live?

  • sung with such emotion, awesome

  • WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Robin Pecknold is such an amazing vocalist.

  • See you at Werchter 2011

  • When are they coming to the netherlands... I think there great!!!!

  • i do believe i was ejaculating from 00.02 to 04.34. Just bloody unbelievable!

  • They can sing.

  • Robin is such an artist. These lyrics paint the most incredible picture, in my opinion. I can't even really express the emotions that go through me when I listen to this song.

  • This music is just magical. It just expresses my way of thinking, feeling, hearing, Bres

  • I clicked the "like" button but I do not just "like",,,,,I simply adore and worship these foxy little fleetingly magical foxes!

  • I enjoyed watching these on Jools Holland, especially this song ; lovely , uplifting and refreshing

  • I had almost lost hope in this generation, until I heard you guys.

    Thank you for keeping people's dreams alive;

Proving that good music can still be created in these dark times.

As a musician myself, I can now continue my dream of creating beautiful music as well.

    <3

  • Beautiful song, I'm looking forward to the new album. Now.

  • EPIC! Such a gorgeous, soulful song. Brian Wilson must be a favourite of this great band. It aso reminds me of the band, Lambchop, who released a brilliant country soul record called 'Nixon', some years ago.

  • "In that dream I'm as old as the mountains, Still is starlight reflected in fountains"

i really like that first lyric

  • love it <3

  • Glastonbury :)

  • for me this is their best song yet. and I'm goin to see them in June. woop! woop!

  • =D Oh yes.

  • Can't wait to see them live :')

  • Sound like SOME people have grown a little too accustomed to auto tuning...you know who you are....SHAME ON YOU. I loved it.

  • 40 days til i see these bad boys haha

nothing like them! this live recording is even better than the album version!

  • @offtothelincolnmobil couldn't agree more!! ahh where are you seeing them? JEALOUS

  • If I go to heaven one day, this is the song I want to hear during my ascend.

Or fuck it, even descend. May as well, right?

  • this is AMAZING :)

  • I think the thing with his voice was on purpose, guys.

  • Splendid!

  • Its amazing music, why be judgmental... flaws are character...

  • absolutely unbelievable! best band going round.

f' off the people who are critiquing the performance, you are lost in life

  • best band of the night in my opinion

really want to get their album now :)

  • omfg they saved music forever.

  • Whatever, this was fantastic. Love Robin!

  • So proud. Love you guys.

  • thats not a voice cracking, its called emotion.

  • @mrnicey2006 Yes, showing emotion through his voice cracking on purpose.

    Don't be a smartass.

  • @FlyBird i wasnt being a smartass. i just meant his voice was cracking due to the effort and emotion he puts across. something which sets him aside from any other singers on the circuit at the moment. think you re gettin a bit carried away pal. people on here are suggesting that he was struggling, i dont think so.

  • @mrnicey2006 Now you're just assuming that there aren't any good, emotional singers this generation besides Robin. Which now makes you a dumbass. Good job.

  • @FlyBird ok pal, whatever you think. im just here enjoying some nice tunes. you ve obviously got a chip on your shoulder about something. in my opinion robin is the best singer going about at the moment. theres loads of great singers out there but in my opinion nobody puts this kinda sound across as well as he does. as iv stated a couple of times, its only my opinion, which im entitled to as you are. tho reading back the posts i would say it is you who comes across as a smartass. in my opinion.

  • After waiting 3 years for the follow up album, the wait has been more that worth it!

  • After waiting 3 years for the follow up album, the wait has been more that worth it!

  • watched this lastnight! sent shivers up my spine :-)

  • Yep, he "lost it," slightly in places, but this is what you get for doing live music and not miming to backing tracks.

I loved their last album and this is in the same ballpark for me, this is "tough," to put across live and they do a really good job of it.

It's so refreshing to hear this sort of thing.

  • Wowwww , that voice.. this song.

  • Maybe it's just me, but I think the string-breaking, pick-throwing, and voice-cracking is ASS-KICKING!

  • Awesome!! Seeing them in a few weeks in Berlin and simply can't wait.

  • Robin's voice cracking, but pretty tight

  • Robin's voice cracking, but pretty tight

  • So SO good. can't wait to see them this summer.

    also, string breakage at 3:44
