Great flying man. Can you tell me what you have in it? I'm hearing a DA-100 i think. What servos, regulator, battery, weight? Prop? You got a board in her?
Very nice plane, hope to have one soon enough.... ;D
Wow amazing skills, I have flewn for 2 years now and can do most of the 3d manuvers on my epp plane, but not quite there yet on my balsa models, maybe nerves =)
but the inverted harrier is so hard for me, need to spend more time at the sim to get that one right, looked so good your manuvers plane looked almost weightless all the time, good job!
hope someone with a better camera can help you shoot next time, because besides camera quality this video was great, thanks for an inspiring clip.
WOW . does this plane really fly that good? Where can i get a radio control plane like this. I fly my rubberband planes alot .. you dont actually control them so much you just preset the wings to do tricks..Id rather have that one tho, i love the colors..It looks very Cool! jk btw Awesome flying bro!
Don't you just hate it when you spend years flying planes....film them flying....upload the videos on youtube...then get some fuckwit acting the hero on your channel? LOL. This is some of the best rc flying i've ever seen!! Awesome stuff mate keep up the good work :D
@bruiserhzj Thanks for the comments, Even though I haven't posted any new videos, I still get out there and give it heck! I still encourage younger and inexperienced rc pilots in the realm of "extreme 3d aerobatics"!
Please to all posters! Please try and keep all comments rated "G" due to all of the younger pilots that I refer to these videos! Thanks!!
@HawaiianFlyGuy Yeah i fly every chance i get mate!! I've only been flying 6 months and am about to maiden a 70 inch Yak 54 with a DLE30 in it. Check out my videos of it. This is my first 3D plane and i have been flying a sky raider mach 2 low wing trainer so i know i will notice a big difference LOL. I won't be doing anything stupid in the first few flights!!
also do u have any advice on how to perfect harrier roles?i fly a quarter scale extra 260. i have everything down patt besides my harrier roles and could use any help i can get. thanx
Kinda a long and boring vid. Granted I am more into aerobatics when you are actually in the flying machine. I have never flown RC... So this is an outsiders perspective, but 3/4 of the video is him tooling around doing the same thing barrel roll thing over n over. Is that supposed to be impressive? The part i thought was cool was the obviously big tricks at the end. Why not go out throw the big tricks and be done in 45 seconds.
Speaking of tooling, the "oh yeah" at the end made me say "what
@cletorney - It si obvious that you are very ignorant in the ways of stalled flight. The barrel rolls are called rolling harriers, which is flight just above the stalled flying wing. If you will notice that the rudder and elevator are working in precise timing of the each rotation keeping the nose up and at the same time blipping the throttle. Power to weight ratio (3:1) is far above what an full size aircraft can do. Ever see a full size aircraft hover inches off the ground?
@robprestonful - I have flown the AW 50cc Yak, and ther is no compare to the Extreme Flight 88" Yak 54 in 50cc. If you really want to learn 3D flight, the Extreme Flight RC Yak 54 makes it seem easy.
All throws on this plane for 3d flight as follows;
Ailerons 50 deg max throw, low rates 40% travel, 40% expo / high rates max throw 70% expo.
Elevator 50 deg max throw- rates the same as ailerons for low rates. high rates, and expo.
@robprestonful CG is dead on as recommended by Chris Hinson from Extreme Flight RC. Check out my other videos on my channel, but check this video "Summer Flying in Winter". The first part of the video are first flights of the 110" Yak 54, but on 1:35 you will see me putting the 50cc Extreme Flight Yak 54 through some close-in hovering and antics!
Every air show/aerobatic pilot needs to see this, well done thanks!

Great flight and great plane !
I'm planing to built for next season Yak 55 with wingspan around 80".
How many servos you are using in one wing to pull the aileron ?
sixeris 2 years ago
@sixeris. The extreme flight 110 yak has 2 servos in each wing but in your Yak 55, your only going to need one per surface.
