It's weird. In the original, Phantom was always easier for me than Kurt Zisa. KZ would take multiple tries to defeat on any level. Yet the Phantom almost never took more than one (after which I learned the Stop trick). But here in Final Mix, I defeated Kurt Zisa in my first try, and lost to the Phantom! O_o

Also, is it me, or does his doom counter restart faster than in the original?

i beat them both first time, (this and kurt zisa) but only because i got a tip off about a clocktower boss that you have to stop the clock (and zisa took me around 25 mins to kill...). Phantom really does hit high though

In the american version it took me 13 tries and I never relized you could stop the clock, I just beat him up until I final beat him before the time ran out sorta

I have this fight on my PS2, and the Phantom is not that strong. Is there a harder difficulty or are you at low levels to make it harder.

Actually, this Phantom looks a lot easier than the PS2 version, in fact it takes at least 32% more damage and puts up less of a fight. Still this is like a world record time, so it must be easier. Great video though,

Yes i agree this battle is quite difficult considering you must muti task. Not only do you have to hit him with the right magic BUT you also have to stop the doom counter or....else. BTW the phantom looks cool in Final Mix :)
