  • This Volvo differs from the daf, you should start the daf `in gear` and take off directly...

I love to own a 66GLS in the future.

  • Do you always have to wait for about one minute to drive ?

  • @JonnyboyCalippo No. This car has a centrifugal clutch. If engine RPM is above a certain treshold the clutch engages. It's a carburated engine that needs to run on the choke for a while, before you can drive off (normally not neccesary, but engine is not in a good condition...). Because of the high RPM's caused by running on the choke, the clutch is engaged and so the car cannot be shifted in gear. There is a knob on the shifter to declutch it, so you can shift with choke, but that was broken.

  • @Ceristimo1 I see .

I like This Car very much , its to bad that just a few have survived .

Thanks for this Video ! ;)

  • thank you...i used to work on these when i was an apprentice, they were brilliant!!

  • not seen one of these in years! A friend's mum had one. Always seemed to be screaming it's head off with the CVT!

  • Yes, I part exchange for a Saab 99 GL, a more refined car. One of the main problem with that type of car was the centrigarful clutch ( i know it is spelled wrong , but hey, this is the You tube ) i could never adjust it right !!!!

And it gave me very good service.

I,m talking quiet a few years ago

    .
