You have to teach them to walk and to talk, and give them a lot of body skills.

Type in BoolProp TestingCheatsEnabled True in the neighborhood, go into a sims 2 family and drag up the toddler's body skill! LOOL

Hi this is how to get a toddler to do that trick:

Teach the toddler how to walk, and then leave them in the crib for a while, they will eventually break the door hinge and make it slide down so they can escape.
