If you play guitar, the drums, bass and sing in a band guess what you are unoriginal. Alkaline Trio are totally different, both in lyrics and live. Alkaline Trio plays with just the three of them no matter what unless it's like a guest. Green Day always has an extra guitarist, because they are not smart enough to use just one guitar and a bass with drums, either that or Billie Joe has just gotten lazy since Gilman St.. go to wikipedia and look up 924 gilman st

Seriously, The songwriting of the band alone destroys Green day's Pseudo political lyrics.

I could kinda see how Dan's vocals are some what similar to Billie joe's, but Matt Skiba sounds totally different.

Plus all Green Day albums sound exactly the same they haven't changed much since "Kerplunk" or "Slappy hours".
