They should just change that network to "Colmes and Smith News". Those are the only two people on Fox that aren't complete assholes. Hannity is close, but too radical. O'Reilly should be lynched.
If it wasn't torture, why don't we do it to everyone?
If everything was perfectly fine and legal, why did they try to hide it?
If nothing else, their logic fails and so did their interrogations. Nothing like creating more enemies than we had before the whole mess started. But this time around, they have a valid reason to hate us.
You don't know how xenophobic and racist (based on your below conversation) you come off you to people who can read. This paranoia shit may work in the mountains of West Virginia or heartlands of Texas, but it's not gonna work here, buddy.
You're kind of short in the manhood department, if you think torture is a good idea. Only bullies torture, and bullies are mostly insecure little botys at heart, unsure of their own manhood and heterosexuality, so they have to be cruel to scare people out of looking at them too closely.
Is that your problem, Augustus? Afraid someone might notice that your danglies hung up in the inguinal canals?
What has Waco to do with the crimes of dirtbags like Gonzo or John Yoo or Rummy and the Shrub?
Some of what the law enforcement agencies did would come close to meeting the definition of torture, but it was not done to extract intelligence. Itr was done to make a criminal surrender to arrest as the law requires without needing to kill anyone. Koresh decided to kil himself and his followers instead.
(What does that tell you about getting anything rational out of a man by tortutring him?)
And you are a stupoid natrtering war crime-endorsing religous fanatic. Torture never stopped terrorism you moron. Didn't they teach you that in boot camp? If torutre worked, Algeria would stil be a part of France. Learn some history, punk.
Shep Smith is more a man than Bush, Cheney, Ruumy, Gonzo or that horrible little worm Johnm Yoo will ever be, and any military man who condones torture is a disgrace to his uniform and should go home with no benefits as a veteran.
On November 29, 2007, Sen. John McCain, while campaigning in St. Petersburg, Florida, said this:
"Following World War II war crime trials were convened. The Japanese were tried and convicted and hung for war crimes committed against American POWs. Among those charges for which they were convicted was waterboarding."
Thanks for clearing that up John, much appreciated.
Everyone is so eager to point a finger, but when the shoe is on the other foot, do you think the terrorists would use gentle tactics to obtain information, grow up and join the real world there is more torture on the streets of our country....And after 9-11 did we get any more attacks on our country..
No one is saying that the terrorists are nice people. Waterboarding is either legal or illegal. You can't use "The ends justifies the means" to decide if something is legal or not.
Not an argument at all, saying so would also indicate that Bush was a weak president because the attacks occurred under his watch. And since when growing up means "disobey the law?" And WE ARE NOT TERRORIST if the terrorist use torture we can not be on the same level.
Unfortunately it's not as simple as this. All of these issues all relate back to fundamental constitutional law problems. SCOTUS has delivered a number of opinions in recent years regarding the Due Process rights afforded to alien (and in many cases non-combatant) "terrorists." Shep says this is about us, he's right - it's about the standards we as Americans adhere to through our civil liberties. Further, SCOTUS has delivered law on executive power in times of imminent national security threats.
Shep's always been a loose cannon on Fox News. And when I say loose cannon, I mean deviating from the carefully crafted talking point occasionally in moments of passions.
A little over-simplified??? There are more criminals than emporer bush and cheney. Just like it is not just Obama who is the puppet. There are the advisors, the administration, and more. Also, the representatives should keep the president in check, and the people should keep the congress in check.

You said it. He was pissed at the slow response to Katrina, and now this.
I'm actually starting to respect the guy. It's surprising to find someone at Fox who isn't a far-right reactionary.
I hope it doesn't get him sacked.
