The fact that Tim Archibald, on bass, is an EXCEPTIONAL musician and educator, has drawn me to a band that I would normally, not have taken a second look at. He has helped to make the Automatics accessible to many school aged children to appreciate and aspire to become musicians as a positive and creative influence among young people. GO TIM!!!! We love you!
messingerboyrich. Tom Sholz ruined it. He didn't realize what talent he had in his original band. Goudrou and Siv really proved themselves to be a big part of Boston. The drumming and guitar work from them was and is incredible.
granted, Tom did write all the material and produce everything. He WAS Boston pretty much. Still, I hate how he turned music into rocket science and ruined it. Tom was by far the worst musician too. He's terrible. Barry is so much better.
Listen to the lyrics everyone. in MY opinion It's about the band Boston and how one of its members (TOM SCHOLZ) just messed up the entire magic that they had in the band. The band split because of Tom. Barry, Fran, and then Sib were not there anymore and it has never been the same band that it was without Barry, Fran, and Sib. What a shame that Tom Scholz distroyed this band that could of went to unknown hights. I miss BRAD. The current line up in the Boston band now sounds like a cover band
The band never splitted because of Tom `cause there was no band at all. Boston was a duet! Tom played and recorded all the instruments in his basement. Brad thought he was singning to a real band when asked to record its part in the basement. Later on, when they (Tom & Brad) got the record deal, they had to hire musicians to tour. People, get your act together when you`re talking about Boston, please. Don`t just presume that it happen the way you believe it happened!

Is this not the best? Listen close and you can hear the sound and It makes me smile, sad though cause Brad we love you and miss you, I think I'm going to rock out pretty well to this guys.
It's like an open letter to Tom Shulz and a tribute to Brad Delp. Barry and Sib, with some haunting production work here let you know they can do a better Boston than Boston can these days. If Boston were grittier this is what it would sound like. This song has more heart than anything Boston has put out since Barry and Sib left the band. Sorry Tom, but you have to hand it to Ernie and the Automatics for delivering some of that old Boston magic on this one. The video is cool too!
MASTER MUSICIANS .. Every guy in this group is top notch.. E.A.T.A. ROCK !!!!

Great song. Love all the little props that showcase all of Barry's work since Boston. Where can you get an RTZ shirt like Brian was wearing?
Tom did screw up when he dissolved the band but it WAS his band.
