Very cool! I have just normal individual throttle bodies on my fiesta (don't laugh) so I only have 4 of them. But due to how aggressive the cams are it does the same sort of thing (sounds very 'ill' but in a good way, then sings it's way from 5,000rpm to 8,000rpm)
@FluidMotorUnion - In the first part of the video on the dyno, why does the sound change suddenly from mild mannered street car to all-out-rape-your-village-beast?
@ryanthomastew Throttle position, my friend. We never floor it up to the dyno gear (3rd in manual cars, 4th in 7-speed gearboxes), we just putt it up there. Gives the motor a chance to relax before we absolutely flog the hell out of it. :D
@ryanthomastew Ryan, it's putting down a little under 400 wheel without meth at the moment. Once we dial in the meth to proper numbers, it should be rather impressive :)
Yes because we all know Mexico uses signs in English that read "speed limit 35." If it were really Mexico it would read KPH and be in Spanish. Why even bother to write those fake disclaimers when anyone with half a brain can tell it was filmed in the US? Either way, nice work on the M3, your kit looks and sounds beautiful :)
@Skyline626 Because it's just an inside joke for those who speed and talk about it in a public venue. Quite common in car forums.
Although, there's a highway in Arizona (I-10, I think) that has its distances marked out in metric, but the speed limits are in standard. It would follow logic, then, that there exists a possibility of a highway in Mexico that has its speed limits in standard. :)
@FluidMotorUnion LOL, I get you- still though, are the signs in Arizona in Spanish? Why would Mexican ones be in English? You should get that thing on a Mexican road though, and really let it rip. Better yet a racetrack, I'm pretty sure I along with 100s of car guys would be drooling at a video of that! :)
I've been curious about these things ever since i saw them on mike burroughs s54 e36. I understand that deleting the MAFM requires and ecu remap, and have wanted to convince a friend of mine who's almost done with his e46 M3 track car to go this route instead of the VAC CF air box.
@addnon Indeed it does! Thankfully we have oil coming out of the wazoo, but for those with a less show-centric approach, there are workarounds to incorporate a filter. Just not in concurrence with the water-meth, the way we have it being injected.
wow, the engine sound remind me of the e46 csl, but throatier! very nice...

@Quanni90 You're right. Next time we'll stick with a MIG-welded X-pipe and a $12,000 Gruppe-M intake.
