When you have a company that makes it 10k is nothing. Ya know, a lot of people have a misconception of the short bus. It isn't a "retard" bus at all.

These buses are used when there are a small number of students that have to go from one place to another (as well as used for special needs students).

I drove one of these for a year and all I ever had on the bus were convicted felons that couldn't legally be around other students.

I think you're significantly missing the point. The bus has the purpose of raising awareness and educating people on government spending. Simply donating the money to a school does not accomplish that. The potential benefit to a shift in budget priorities far outweighs the benefit of a small donation to a single school.

steve. Good point on the 28 ton bus. However the motor has been removed from the top bus ans this bus is a mini bus, Not a full size 28 seater. So i would safely say the top bus portion is just frame with a shell giving about 5 tons if that total on the top. The bottem portion is well around 12 tons giver or take with passengers

That is the most common question we get on this bus. It was designed so that if you go around a corner too fast, you just flip over and keep driving! As a matter of fact, halfway through the day, we flip it over so that all the tires will wear evenly!

Actually, I am a school bus driver in Alaska. Buses are very interesting. You either hate them or love them. The guy is probably a mechanic who was given two buses. Give the guy a break, it's a fun hobby, and used buses are relatively cheap. There is a guy I know from North Pole Alaska that converted a school bus into a hunting rig. Pretty sweet if you ask me.
