Esoteric is mad intelligent and a lyrical genius, but he hasn't faced raw competition in the Boston suburbs as Em had to face in Detroit, then be noticed.

@tschiefnrone actually idk bout that esoteric writes way differently its kinda better eminem sounds impressive and could probably freestyle better but his style is kinda hacky his rhymes are real inconsistent almost like hes always freestyling.. its kinda impressive but at the same time if you just change the rhyme scheme anytime you want its less impressive.. esoterics shit is more clever but its less coherent its more random and abstract. i like it better personally tho

i personally like esoteric more too.. em was dope (especially in the late 90s) but he changed.. i didnt like the new album too :/ it sounded too much like pop.. still i love the old em, and if you listen to his older songs you see how sick he was and could be now.. changed to much i guess :(

Hey dodobird pronedaddy, I'd find it hard to compare some battle cat from suburban Boston with a battle cat from Detroit suburbs. There's no "killing" element required to show who comes out on top. Eminem has battled countless black dudes throughout his career. Royce 5'9 has said that Em is the dopest cat he's ever heard. Esoteric is mad intelligent and a lyrical genius, but he hasn't faced raw competition in the Boston suburbs as Em had to face in Detroit, then be noticed.

aside from tech n9ne esoteric is in my opinion the by far most versatile rapper in the game, his flow varies drastically in speed and vocabulary from track to track. I dont think you can say the same about eminem, he has a very distinct style. and while it is great and he is very lyrically proficient, I myself have gotten tired of his style. So I dont agree with your point that eminem is more versatile.
