@daveserc your welcome, that's right, the cell was one of many in a cluster just SW of Inverell, at 5.18pm was the first time i saw the funnel. i didn't expect this event as i was watching the Namoi radar with a very large mean looking cell heading towards Tamworth, and neither Moree or Namoi Radars were picking up anything significant here. have sent a link to the BoM and the local Prime news, but as yet have heard nothing from them.
@AusStorm awesome thanks for the extra info, yeah I think most people watching the radar didn't pick it up either! Odd that the news stations didn't pick up on it...and maybe the Bureau are a little slow to go through their email haha, one think I do know is that their severe weather section is very interested in these sorts of reports :)

Would this have been from the storm that was near Inverell (i'm guessing you're just south of town or just west of) at around 5pm on the radar?
