corrective nip/bite of the mother dog. It gently reminds the dog of who is in charge. If you are of the mind that your dog is an equal? and they sleep in you bed and sit at the table with you then this is not the right product for you. I love my dog and he is a part of our family and he is still the dog/our pet. You can train you dog or they WILL train you. ps. do not i repeat do not try this on the wife. Was in the "Dog house" for months. ;)

The fact is that this collar does not cause pain to the dog if used properly. How do i know? I used it on my self first. Pulling as hard as i could at six ft one 225lb by the way. Could get it to leave marks on my neck. Only you wouldn't have to pull half that hard training you dog. I also don't have the extra hide and fur they do. It only simulates the natural.
