Be as loyal to these coaches as they are to you. Real talk a current Rice player told me and gary something the other day that is so true. Dennis didn't quit... I go to Wimberley with him. He's actually a really cool guy. He got in big trouble (I'd rather not go into details) and was thrown off the team for a while and lost his full-ride scholarship to A&M. He was looked down on by most everyone so he moved to a different school where his girlfriend goes. Poor guy. Best wishes for you Dennis :)...

I can only imagine what Cy-Lakes would have been like if Dennis had stayed in Houston and played with this other up and coming RB Jarvis Leverett whose there now. He's a D-1 prospect as well and him and Dennis were in the same backfield in Jr high. Can you say state, cause I just don't know too many teams that could have stopped that tandem..

Look at Jonathan Gray he had 2,000 rushing yards in a season and he's way faster than this guy he's suspossed to be the top prospect in the nation and yes hes in Texas Aledo Tx

Gray is a beast, but this dude basically has almost 30lbs and has a 2 almost and may have 3 inches on Gray by the time he is done grown and will be a solid 230lbs depending on how his body responds to weight, wear and tare. You can find RB's Johnathan's size anytime, but you just don't find any 218lbs TB's running 4.5 in high school that often.

Nice running back but Coldsprings is coming to town with 2 rbs just as good or maybe even better. Sherman Gilbert and Cody Cummings both have 25 tds+ apiece(Gilbert missed the 1st 3 games). Our defense played Kirbyville twice and limited one of the top running backs in 3a.

Dennis is a great running back. Teams really have trouble with him. No one has kicked to him all year. He runs well, catches well, and is a shut down cornerback. Just ask Sealy. - and you all that are hating on Wimberley, they've beaten Cuero, La Vernia, and Sealy. Why doesnt your coach schedule some of those teams out of district? Give the Texans offensive line credit. They are good run blockers for anyone!

Yes, we lost to Wimberley. No, it wasn't because of Dennis Smith. In my opinion he is way overrated. He doesn't hit hard at all, he's not very shifty (at least when we played him), and I personally think he's at a bad height for a runningback. He has VERY good break-away speed, though. I do think he would do well for a D-II team, but I don't expect him to do much at A&M. Not trying to bash him at all, just stating my opinions.
