  • Expert Village is reaaallly good at being ALMOST helpful.

  • I find this quite useful. Thank you.

  • Will you guys stop complaining about how she was "flat".

You're the one searching for singing tips, so I doubt you're any better than she is.

  • @xXiStrawberryXx ha ha ha ha funny and true

  • @xXiStrawberryXx Hehe! Good point !!

  • if someone is trying to help you with your singing, i dont think you should dislike the video whether you like the technique or not

  • thats so annoying but funny as hell xD ZZAHHAHHAHHAHHAHHH

  • sounds like the kooky old women at church who think their trained classical vocalists

  • that was crap

  • the problem with this is that you start so far from where you end (low to high) that you can strain your vocal chords. Doing a Do to So works so much better than Do to Do1.

  • MY EARS!!! happy? you killed my ears.

  • I'm loling.

  • wow expert village with this video im gonna be like pavaroti thanks alot!!! bunch of morons!

  • zomg expertvillage fails again

  • Uhh, no mam.

  • lol awesome :P

but i dont think this exercise will help me to sing GN'R

  • @SaintAsmodeus I don't know wether this is true or not, but I was told that Axl sings like that because he was in a car crash. Personally, I think thats something people just want to be true...

  • Oh bouy can noone actully sing who does these vids

  • Small hands.

  • Thanks for the tips! I'll have to use these.

  • FLAG THIS DUMBASS 1 MIN BS BITCH!!!!

  • thats just her voice, its high, your supposed to sing with her in your voice, not exactly the same as her

  • she does everything in falsetto and headvoice except the low note. I don't think that's fair. With falsetto it's easy to get all thos high notes like E5 and so on....Really expanding your range means beltin those notes or briefly touching poking those notes.

  • Girls don't have falsettos -_-. Learn about music before you comment.

  • @LaffingMan007 Ahahha everyone has falsetto It's a physical feature of your vocal chords. But falsetto is considered as the normal range for girls, so it's not called falsetto, but technically it is. But men cannot go that high without going outside their rnage, so they have falsetto. Listen to leoan lewis, whitney houston, mariah carey, they all do those little falsetto adds in their songs. The hoo's and ha's to fill up the song. And they often go higher using that falsetto and even higher headv

  • @Mage13011988 My bad, I just realized after i posted the comment.

  • you didnt sound that damn good. lordie!!

  • i have to pee.

  • i need you to teach me in person cuz im so lost

  • It is proven that you are born with pitching, which means that if you are tone deaf, your are born with it, and also applies to if you are good with your pitching(hearing your own note to match).

  • this way to sing sucks!!what is that?a mix between junk and throat voice?

  • she's always flat on the fifth note

  • Those who can't,,,, teach!!!

  • I have yet to see ONE student of any You-Tube voice teachers that start whit an awful voice, and then becoming a good singer...... I guess NONE!.... have you ever meet anybody that had a very bad voice, and taking classes made him sing better?.............. Voice teachers are like Karate teachers. You won't be good if you are not born with the talen, you gota have skills by DNA code!. Don't be a fool!.

  • Well I've gotten betta an' I've only bein' singin' for 3 years.

  • perhaps your cynical and somewhat pathetic comment has something to do with the last part of your username!

  • I'm a musician, and I know what I'm saying is true, you can adjust your tune a little, but you can't sing if your not born with it.

"Your wrong, and I'm right!...K" shut up!....

I've met lots of singers, and they laugh at this sort of thing, not at the clasess per se!, but teachers saying that everybody can sing if they learn how.. "that's false, and misleading!"

  • Everyone can leaern to sing. It has been proven there is no genetic code for it. Same with Karate, YES certain things help. Such as having the right build, or even longer vocal chords... though Robert plant managed with short vocal chords. I'm afraid they are right. Anyone can sing... the main reason most seem not to be able to is because they are trying to be someone else... so many singers try and copy people other than use their own voice with it's own abilities

  • I think that if you can't sing in *tune* then, yes, you can learn to have better intonation over time but if you are born without the ability to sing in tune (what I mean by that is not knowing the difference between say, a C and a D), then there is not much you can do about that. However, if you are born with a bad singing voice but still have the ability to sing in tune, then things can be done about that and you can learn how to use your vocal chords in such a way that you improve the sound.

  • @6U355WH094 if one truly could not tell the difference between c an d then music would not appeal to them. but everyone understands the concept of high and low to some extent. like anything else remember what the bible says about the mustard seed.

  • I suppose if you couldn't tell the difference between the notes in a tune then music wouldn't really be all that appealing. You do have a point there. Mustard seed? That's either a joke, or not a famous enough part of the bible, 'cause I'm not religious x]

  • @6U355WH094 well it and buddhist scripture say alot about the mustard seed. but the main point is that big fruitful things will come from even the smallest of seeds.

  • I see. That is true in some situations. But if you're so tone deaf that you can't tell the difference between two notes an octave apart (there are people like that), I really don't think they have much of a chance of growing into a big, fruity singer x]

  • John you're a total idiot, and obviously NOT a real musician. Don't be a fool!

Oh yeah you also don't know anything about Karate.. so 2xFail

  • @SongXiii lol

  • it is beautiful

  • i must respectfully declare you to be the fool, for i am living proof that you dont have to have a 'naturally' good voice. people learn bad speaking habits in their youth that translate into bad singing habits. vocal classes are about getting rid of those bad habits.

  • She's flat. And she's teaching people how to do this??

  • What do you go up by each time on the piano?

  • I dont think she has the best voice to be telling us how to sing..

  • She was flat...

I do believe the teacher should be better then the students.

  • I think it was how the exercise is suppose to b.....because of what she said at the beginning

  • @CELEBRATeDisco Not true, you should be better than your vocal teacher. There are vocal teachers for the best singer in the world. The teacher should understand what you are doing wrong and know autonomy behind singing but not necessary need to be better

  • @CELEBRATeDisco "If the student is not better than the teacher, than the teacher is a failure."

  • i'm surprised her glasses didnt break...

  • YEA I KNOW BECAUSE MINE DID

  • lol I did this 2 octaves higher.

  • Yes but you are doing it on a falseto.... do it with full voice....

  • exactly she really doesnt know what shes talking about, wheres the full voice?

  • You know sometimes when a note goes too high then you can't sing it with real voice, it will hurt the throat.

  • ....at least this woman has a little something that Lady Ga Ga doesn't....IT'S CALLED TALENT! It takes years to maintain this kind of vocal work and to keep it up is even more difficult. Don't get me wrong, Lady Ga Ga (first off, immature name...makes her sound like a 3 year-old. Ga Ga?? Come on! Lets be serious!) 2nd off if you can't appreciate this, you don't know shit about broadway musical theater or just how difficult it is to get in. Lady Ga Ga is a wannabe corporate sell-out, nothing more

  • I'm not a fan but i wouldn't say she was without some talent.

    /watch?v=Eculqz5oq2I

  • Like I said....regardless if Lady Ga Ga has talent or not, (which I'm not saying she doesn't, she just doesn't have THIS kind of talent) lady ga ga is still just a wannabe corporate sell-out. Nothing more. In a year or two, some other female musician will take her place in the music business and she'll be forgotten

  • who is this moron? Does she even know that her top note is flat EVERY SINGLE TIME?

  • haha i know

  • I dont think its about hitting the note, its about getting the range higher, then you can focus on pitch.

  • she's giving a lesson, not recording an album

who cares if she's flat? (and btw, its not like she doesn't know)

    sweet douche

  • its supost to go lololololo ahh ahh lololololo ahh ahh or mini mini mini mini, my my my my ,what a penny what a penny ,what what what what ,zoom zoom zoom zoom ,zahh ahh until you go all the way up th piano. and it gets faster every round.

  • Is there a way to extend my range into the lower pitches?

I've heard of people being able to sing higher pitches with this exercise but I wish to reach those lower notes. DO I do this but gradually go lower and lower?

  • YOU FUNNY. I can't do high notes, but i can do low notes. Let's exchange.

  • i supose to an extent you could. its all about stretching your vocal chords.

  • exactly..just keep going lower and lower but it must be done daily but just as she said with in the video about losing the bottom core don't lose your upper range

  • its serious voice training man, it works for me, you should hear me sing buddy hehe...

  • ITS SOOOOOOO FUNNY
