Do not know why but it seems the violin needs to sold so hard to make it appealing to the wider public. Someone like ed Alleyne johnson has been playing for eyars but does not get the exposure of these females..food for thought? also not to mention many years ago Geoffrey Richardson ( rock group Caravan) Jon luc ponty another giant. Made the violin a Jazz instrument all on his own for decades. I guess the violin just has to look sexy to sell it.

@WELLBRAN I assume you write from an U.S. perspective? Then you do realise that violin is HUGE in the Country scene, which quite fits the definition of 'wider public' of America. Country is no more niche than Rock or Rap. Now, you go on and on about Jazz violin; may I remind you that Assiya is fusion of Dance with CLASSIC violin and, yes, CLASSIC-ANYTHING needs all the help it can GET to be sold in the West!

It was the first track that I heard from her and I thought: Wow, there's an ukranian lady, who makes beautiful and valuable music...but then I was listening her more tracks and I am very sad now...She isn't more than a soulbitch who doesn't respect the real music and I think she takes violence with her soul when she plays this song...It's not She!!!

that's the thing... I listened to her interview on the radio about her career and she said that opera singing is just stupid... pissed me off! i think this composition is an example of a tallent she used to have and lost because of her own stupidity. :(
