  • TFB calling yet?

  • Dan what's most important for vert?

    #strengh (max effort training)

#rate of force development (explosiv training)

    #reactivity (plyometrics)

#movement efficiency (just jumping as high as possible)

    ?

  • @Manuelcr7 work on all of those you just mentioned and your set to having great vert. and being able to do some nice dunks. (dont forget core and abdominal training in there too)

  • Dan what's most important for vert?

    #strengh (max effort training)

#rate of force development (explosiv training)

    #reactivity (plyometrics)

#movement efficiency (just jumping as high as possible)

    ??????????????????

  • Are you ambidextrous i noticed you drunk left and right handed i cant tell which you prefer

  • now this looks more convincing than the first video with the distorted screen!

  • What's most impressive is all the dunks he can do do all these dunks with both hands. While being 5'10" and doing dunks is super impressive, being able to throw down windmills and 360s with both left and right hands is just sick.

  • very nice hops...im 5'11 asian and i can barely dunk and yet u make dunking look so easy...

  • wow very nice hops

  • This video is so white.

Sorry, I've just been watching some vertical leap videos, and it's funny how the music, apparel, etc. are separated so cleanly into stereotypes.

The AC/DC is the icing on the cake :).

  • What's the song ?

  • you guys should see him bmx

  • This guy's a great leaper but again, there's absolutely no way in hell he has a 46 inch vertical. The best athletes in the NBA and NFL will test out at 40-42 inches and while I think he may be close to 40 I would be willing to bet any amount of money and personally meet with this guy that he doesn't have a 46. Vertical leap is measured from a standing start with no step. Not taking anything away from him but don't post idiotic bullshit like you have a 46 inch vertical when you don't.

  • dude based on the video i might be with you, but i've seen this guy in person. i used to do his program with him at Murrieta Valley and i can assure you, he can just about hit his head on the rim, and he's only 5'10"

  • Again, I will personally meet up with this guy and do a legit vertical test and he won't have a 46. Spud Webb had a legitimate 44 inch vertical. Is this guy honestly trying to claim he can jump higher than Spud? Absolutely idiotic.

  • first of all you are misinformed. Spudd Webb had a MAX vert of 44 inches, not a standing vert. In case you didn't know, both STANDING and MAX are measured at the NBA combine. Most "high fliers" only have a standing of 32-33 inches. For example, VC had a standing vert of 37", which is ridiculously high. Second of all, he's not stating he has a 46" standing vert. and yes he can jump higher than Spudd. none of Spudd's ups were trained, all natural, but Dan worked his ass off for this.

  • I actually did a little research on this and according to Wikipedia Spud had a "vertical leap" of only 42 inches (not 44 like I thought) which further supports what I'm saying here. Absolutely no way in hell this guy jumps higher than Spud Webb. Feel free to quote your source claiming that Spud had a "max" vert of 44. I am aware that the NBA measures standing and max. If this guy is claiming he has a "max" vertical of 46 then that's what he should post.

  • Adrenaline can boost one's vert a couple inches....say a hyped up dunk contest....I'd bet Spud was jumping a lil higher that day in 1986. This guys average jump in nicely over 40".....a 5'10" could only do some basic (nice but basic) dunks if he only had max 40" vert. I am 5'9" w/ a 40' MAX now...which means my average jump is lower and I can "just" dunk on 10'. 40" jump only puts my hand just past the the rim, I have a 7'7" reach. Check my vids for proof. Used to have 42 average but 33 yr now.

  • @cbdud any advice on training ?

  • @thefuture067 If u jump as high from a stand still as from run work mostly plyos and lil strength. If u jump lower from stand than from run work on strength and lil plos. My standing is about 30' while run over 40". I have good plyo ability. So strength increases my vert. I am a 2 lg jumper. At 34y 5'9" , I am back to jumping over 40" easily. Also, If your standing is nowhere need 30" u need to get your strength up. U will never see a 2 lg jumper with 24" standing and 44" running verts!

  • u r a wanker dan told me to tell ya

  • Just coz there in the NBA doesnt mean they have the best vertical leap.

Remember: you dont have to jump high to be a great basketball player.

    Whitto77

  • yo peeps flag this vid... his vert isnt even 20 inches, rim is like 8.6 ft and hes tryn 2 sell shit.

  • that rim is 10ft for sure u retard

  • wow... dont talk about shit u dnt kno about. pause at 55 dumbass, hes 5'10 n off the ground 3 inches n almost touching the rim? i bet u fell like a real jackass now :(

  • Great vid, but I'm not sure the helmet was really necessary.

  • Nice dunks but horrible song

  • pause at 1:43 and do the math. i did. that's a 46 inches running vert. no doubt about it. pretty impressive.

  • WoW that was the stupidest thing I've ever seen B 4 a guy hitting his head on the safety pad wow!

  • Dude, trust me all you haters; dan isnt only a good dunker, he an awesome bball player. And if u dont thin so then go against hi and tell me how it wen cuz u'll get a butt whoopin.

  • pretty fly for a white guy ;)

  • Does anyone know of any routines to improve my vertical jump? Last year I did like squats and calf raises for like all summer and it barely improved at all :(

  • to cohen36--- u dont really keep all your vertical jump that you work all sumer for.

It's still good if you loss 2-3 inch. from you training after a few month's.

the trick is to keep training and improving and eating rigth after your work-out. you won't improve if your muscle in constantly stress...

hope this could help a bit BRO.

maybe i'll be watching your vid. someday

  • You need a combination of strength(weights) and plyometrics. The plyometric drills (jumping) will convert the strength into explosive quickness allowing you to get higher off the ground. Rest is also just as important as training. Your muscles have to rebuild.

  • i use plometrics every 2 days. After every day i use plyos, i weight train, then i take the next day to rest..is that an OK plan or not?

  • thats what i do stretch on the rest day it works for me and try some pool pylometrics every once and a while it works great

  • STRETCH, youtube power cleans. i wasted my time with calf raises too. they help a little but ur hips are the most important part imo

  • hamstrings, quads, inner thigh, hips, and calves for jumping. But if your whole upper body is evenly built alongside your legs build, you will be unstoppable in EVERY sport.

  • he's like a white kangaroo

  • lmao

  • it's max vert fool not standing vert.

most guys in the nba test max vert, which the elite is around 40. he can really jump that high. i've seen him dunk two handed from a standing jump, which would put his STANDING VERT around 36-37". his running vert is insane, and he trained to get that way

  • 26 secs looks really high

  • I will personally meet with this guy and bet any amount of money he doesn't have a 46 inch vertical. The elite athletes in the NFL and NBA test out at around 40 and there's no way this guys is that much better than that. Obviously he has no idea how a true vertical leap is tested as it's done from a standing start with both feet touching the floor. Catch a clue, fool...

  • I HAVE personally met this guy, I do his workout program twice a week, he DOES have a 46 inch vertical, ive seen him jump, its amazing, and those hoops ARE 10 feet, its at Murrieta Valley High School in California

  • Put up or shut up. Again, I will bet you, this Dan guy or anybody else any amount of money and personally meet up and do a legitimate vertical leap test and there's absolutely no way in hell he has a 46. Spud Webb, one of the greatest leapers ever in the NBA and winner of a slam dunk contest, had a 44. Are you trying to tell me this guy jumps higher than Spud Webb? Absolutely ridiculous. The guy's a great jumper but it's ludicrous to post such nonsense.

  • actually by the look of this vid id say he does jump higher than spud, spud was a tad shorter but all he could do was a basic dunk, this guy is doing 360s, btl, windmills, not to mention spuds vert was measured off of a run as well man, as is this guys, 46 is how high he gets off a run

  • all spud did was through the ball up in the air catch it of the bounce or off the backboard and dunk it, he won because of how much higher than everybody else he had to jump to dunk, im not knockin what he did, im just saying what this guy does is more impressive, and watch old footage spud jumping, if he had a 44 in standing vert, hed get his head at rim level when dunking going off of a run, he doesnt do that, but he gets up, im not denying that

  • learn maths, spud was 5,6 thats 66 inches, so he needed 54 running vertical to get his head at rim level.

Also, this guy is much taller than spud, and spud did actually a 360, so STFU

Anyways this Guy is impressive too, but he is a dunker, spudd was a nba playa

  • spud was 5'7" and i didnt realize i typed that, obviously he had to jump higher than 44 to get head at rim, and youre right, that was a bit of an exageration, he did a bit more than just normal dunks, but in terms of jumping, i still would not be surprised if this guy could jump higher than spud

  • But he's just lucky he got picked!

  • dude let's be honest. Pre-Vinsanity dunk contests were not that great. i mean, Spud did a 360 with 1 hand, and a reverse off of a lob. those dunks wouldn't score well today. why? because you have guys that can do stuff like this. get your facts strait before you start hating on a guy that can just about hit his head on the rim.

  • chill man,its running vert not standing^^

  • wat sort of excersise do you do to increase ur vertical jump.

    do calf raises help

    how tall r u

  • look at his other videos, hes got a shit load that help

  • Now these rims look 10 feet tall for sure.....increadable hops!

  • nice hops u can slam that ball like crazy!

  • im marv alvin and iv just seen a man fly

  • Elevate is the real deal. Got the program. Gained 3 inches already. Get on it.

  • HOLY FUCKIN SHIT WHITE MAN CAN JUMP

  • impressive.

  • nice hops

  • Nasty dunks!!! Can u play ?

  • damn wish i could jump like you good video

  • fuckin nice vid man

  • Damn. Nuff said. I'm 5'7'' and used to be able to grab rim (before quitting offseason), but not dunk. Dude your hops are mad!

  • Damn, Homie got hops!!!

  • yes, just jump a little higher! No seriously, the best way to increase your vertical is a combination of weight training and plyometrics. But your recovery is extremely important, so dont overdo it.

  • damn man nice hops.

im 5'6'' and i can almost get rim. any tips?

  • his other videos show how to do some plyometric excercises... start with that.

  • Ive done those excercises for years, my training is more advanced now! I am stuck at 35" and cant seem to break through that. I do a lot of strength training and plyometrics, plus olympic lifts. So these excercises arent of much use but thanks anyway.

  • much respect Dan! You developed this program? Because I wanna know what you do.

  • That is pretty sick man.

    What's your standing reach?

  • Dunking with both hands like that is difficult, especially when you're doing windmills and crazy shit like that. Very cool stuff

  • you are a rfb member! ^^

  • woah dude ur a freak of nature but check out my vedio im 5'8 and i can dunk i got some vids

  • whats the song

  • thunderstruck from AC/DC

  • Some of yall must not now that much about dunking. To do these dunks he HAS TO have about a 42" vert. No one jumps their max vert on every jump! You can tell his average jump looks to be about 40-43" and his max jump is 46!

  • Apparently you need at least a 40 inch vert to do a proper windmill.

  • Hey Dan, how old are you man. Just wondering. I just hit 32 and my knees won't let me fly th same as in my early 20's. I got some nasty vids on 9'...well for an old guy!

  • dude i cant wait to use this program, i ordered it, and im gonna do it as soon as im im shape!

  • nice. im doubting the 46. but definately above around 40. real nice

  • nice vert, but makes me wonder why you use a womensball, palming issues??

  • lol!! he floats up!

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!

teach me how to fly like that...

im 6'1 and i can jump normal...

i can dunk with one hand but not like that!!...

    you are a GOD!!!

  • troy mccray is 5'9 with a 44 inch vert n his head actually does get at rim so i dont see how hes 5'10 with a "46 inch vert" when hes running into every dunk and doesnt get his head at tha rim.. so at most you have a 44 inch running jump

  • Your dumb. If Troy got his head to the rim then his vert would be 51 inches. 10'0 - 5'9.

My boy Dan Larsen has an easy 46 inch

  • your dumb. a vertical is measured without running.. troys vert is 44 theres a dunk contest video on youtube that measures his vert and troy def gets higher than your boy dan..

  • dan has a 46" RUNNING vert.....in the dunking world no one cares as much bout da standing vert.... no one does much out o a standing vert....(n yes ive cn troy n brent pettway's vert dunks)

  • yeah, standing vert is overrated. who the fuck jumps from a standstill other than wide receivers sometimes and yao ming? vertical testing should be based on running verticals always. those are the conditions under which your vertical is tested day in and day out whether you are on a court or on a field.

  • yea def

  • I'm 14, 5'9" and i can touch a 10 foot with the right shoes... how old are u dan? and how did u improve ur hop?

  • i bought his program, and im gonna start using it once my football season's over in 1 1/2 weeks. im psyched for it!

  • howt he hell did u get such crazy hops?!

  • ...i just thought of this but maybe u should try out for tfb..i think its a good idea!

  • Woah man. i wish i could jump like that right now. I still have 11 more inches to gain to catch up to you. But dont worry with hard work and dedication i will be there one day. Thanks for this motivating vid

  • how old is he

  • i dont hear noone saying white men cant jump now

  • Chin on the backboard!!!! Fuck!!!!!!!

  • why do u ppl ask how do u jump so high...duh are u retarded..he does plyometrics...it says that i hate stupid ppl

  • u get way above 10 feet. can u dunk 10.5?

  • what is you trick of jumping so high please tell me!!!

  • did you not watch the whole vid or sumthing?

it says at the end to go to that website.

  • yo...u hit the windmill with both arms..very nice...im guessing ur a righty tho rght?

  • finally a new dan dunk video...i just hope that all those haters dont start posting their hate talk like they did on yur last video...great dunks man....hey do u do depth jumps? cuz thats my main plyo work out

  • I bet if he didn't have the extra weight with the helmet on his head would've hit the rim. That's probably why he wore it though lol.

  • Dude, The guy is 5'10" and he pulled off 360's, reverse tomahawks, windmills, and in between the legs with power. I'd like to see you do any better.

  • oh shit, looked like you almost knocked yourself out when you kissed the backboard lol. Still just 50 seconds into video 5 stars already :). Man I wish I could jump as high as you :\

  • finally. i watched your first video when it was under 100 views. you rock!

  • are you left or right handed?

  • hes right handed he always shoots the ball up in the air right handed. he dunks left handed a lot because the way in which he plants his feet. with your right foot in front you are set up better to use your left hand

  • yup...im the same way and it sux...since i plant left, rite like him...2 hit that windmill and lean dnk u gotta use ur left...but he can windmill with both arms, vry very impressive

  • dude yu are my height and can dunk. Im not a dunker but i got some ups.

  • What is your standing reach?

  • That is the sickest dunk video ever I am going to definitely buy your vertical leap program. Awesome dunks Brother.

  • i subscribed to u like 1 year ago thnx for uploading

  • nice but i think you can more thats like 1 jeahr ago..

the between the leg is new.

    But still crazy

  • that windmill at 1.29 is sick id say thats a 46" jump and that one at 1.42 when you have the helmet on attempting to hit your head on the rim is sick, id say it was a 47" jump about 3" away from the rim.

  • 1:26 sick nasty, dude im as tall as u and can barely touch the rim. u r my hero

  • that was a nasty video !!! but why a girls size ball ?

  • OMG, that was just the best white dunker video ever!

  • took long enough for a new vid.you can do more than that.

  • about time u put up another vid! shit that was GOOOOOOOD! awesome windmills!

  • awsome dude,awsome!!!

  • Omg you finally put another vid up lol. That was nuts, you definitely look a lot better compared to your other vid. You just glide!!!

  • dam son your so explosive it looks like your jumping of a trampoline
