  • You asked me to let you know when I finished my elelctric bike. It's finished now and it's on my youtube chanel if you want to check it out.

  • @Rayxl1 I like it. Thank you for sharing. How far can it go again?

  • evo powerboard 500 watt is very good better than x600.

  • @TheXxFatcakesxx Yeah but that's 500 and this is 600! :D

  • did you make the chair ?

    please reply.. :)

    thank you

  • @luvipulubi It came with the chair. It was pretty decent too.

  • Nice Thing i want to buy it

  • Respond to this video...

  • you could buy a razor e300 battery chager and does not get any damage and asome fast than the one you have

  • @kayala0f I'm thinking about testing something else out. I'll consider it.

  • hey i bought a full sized geely cy50-a model 50cc scooter made in china got 900 miles and blew the engine so i fully understand what you mean about china and cheap ass parts

  • @control177 Yes. You get what you pay for.

  • get one with an engine!

  • @ils360 it had an electric engine. Doesn't that count?

  • @billremnant im only 11 but im actually 5foot

  • @mrdubwobwob1981 but... can you dunk on a 10' rim? :)

  • Thats the worst scooter I have ever seen... looks breakable, ugly, and just plain LAME!

  • @blay1235

    Yes, yes and yes.

  • VERY GOOD. Good video good information. And its good for you to save money. THANK-YOU FOR THE INFORMATION!

  • @filipe3441

    Thank you for watching.

  • Can you detatch the seat and ride standing up?

  • @mrdubwobwob1981

Yes. The seat could easily be removed, but standing on this for very long would be a pain for someone over 5' tall. I would sometimes stand up but it was easier to steer the scooter when sitting.

  • omg that looks so fun

  • @sxxc123

It was. But it wouldn't be right now with all this ice and snow around. :)

  • was searching for some scooter songs.. found this o.o

  • @Dj69ification

Lol. Sorry. You don't want me singing.

  • Thanks for the review Bill.. mucho informative

  • @animeman14

    No problem.

  • well a problem ur having is that u may weigh 150 or more not sayin ur fat and thats the problem with the suspension too i mean how many adults do u see having electric scooters honestly either they hav a car or motorcycle usually they design these for kids or early teens like 12 to 14

  • @fayburger

Yes. I am a bit heavy. This scooter claims to handle my weight (around 200lb) with ease, and it did scoot me around pretty good. But I never achieved 20 mph on a flat grade. Also the ride wasn't bad at all.

  • scary using an XLR plug with a power cord this really shows how much of a 3rd party job this is. XLR is a signal cable not a power cable. what if someone plugged it into an XLR slot on the back of a really expensive audio amp? would ruin it for sure lol.

  • @prankmypants

Are you referring to the power cord for the recharger?

  • Could you recommend me a scooter? I'm looking to buy one

  • @CrazyAd88

I really can't. I haven't been keeping up on the current offerings in e-scooters.

  • very interesting video! would love to buy such a scooter, but it's difficult to find a one that is not broken very fast. i fear it will need some time until battery and price goes down. until then, i'll ride my "normal" scooter that only requires the power of my legs ;-)

  • @bodypainter99

Yes. I'm sure there are better ones, but they will usually cost a bit more than what I paid.

  • really whats the point lol, you might as well just get a bike and cycle, get fit too.

  • @Multimine

    Agreed.

  • oh my god stop blowing into the microphone!

  • @DRUGFREEG

:) It was a bad mic going dead. Any of my newer vids I promise to do better.

  • I recently got the TRX Scooter. Works great for me!

  • @ldow2000

    That's good to hear.

  • seems like a piece of crap

  • @sk8er6699

That is why I sold it.

  • I decided to make my own e-bike. A really fun project using scrap parts and runs fine on a cheap car battery. After the final tweeking I'll put it on youtube.

  • @Rayxl1

Sounds awesome. Let me know when your done and I'll check it out.

  • how fast does it go

  • @noicewater

16 mph tops on flat grade for me.

  • Excellent consumer report. You have done a great job for free market economy.

    Tnx

  • @currishev

    *dons cape*

    Thank you citizen!

  • dude, just buy a normal bicycle :)

  • @Melcanu

Yes. I agree with this advice.

  • hey im in michigan too!

  • @skiingmksmeboard

    Cool. Howdy neighbor!

  • you can get a gas scooter for less. i have one thats sick

  • @skiingmksmeboard

Yes. I wish I had purchased gas instead.

  • LAME!! Get a Pocket Bike

  • @youngkid1021

    Sounds too small for me.

  • @billremnant hi i may get this scooter, but why did you say it only goes 15 or 16 miles per hour!!!!! i thought it goes 23, thats what it says on all the sites!!!

  • @dougtrav1

It may go 23 mph down a steep hill (I was able to do about 22 mph down a hill in town), but never on a flat grade. Maybe if you only weighed 50 lbs it would go faster than 16mph.

  • @youngkid1021 i got a pocket bike, they r faster than this... but im thinking of getting 1 of these scooters so i can actually go to the store with it... with a pocket bike, u cant really go to the store and stuff... i am trying to get 1 of these electric scooters for christmas, just trying to figure out how much they cost and where to get them...

  • mine goes 25 mph :)

  • I´m 12 years old and i´ve got a scooter 250w. It is great fun to ride. It goes 18 km/h.

  • @Phobichannah

Glad to hear you're having a great time. Keep scootin!

  • Respond to this video...

Mine cuts through shoe leather! :)

  • thanks for postng

  • u can get these from argos but in the new book u cant get the seat ones they cos about £140 k want one very bad coz all my mates got mopeds and mum and dad wont get me one coz they say there dangerous so ill save up for one of these!

  • @homemadehookahguy317

A nice mountain bike would last longer. Just make sure you do your research or you'll be crying over wasted money with nothing to show for it than a pile of shoddy steal.

  • i just need one with a good baterie that goes at least 10 mph. n cheap. i need it to make my "sales"

  • @smokeymcgreenston

I'm sure you could find something, I'd almost suggest you just get a gas powered scooter since those are really efficient and much more reliable than many of the electric options.

  • I saw your shadow at 2:35 and it looks epic.

  • @frasierfraish

    Ha ha ha!

  • you got ripped off

  • @elibaba7

I sold the scooter for about $150 no eBay the following year. I figured, oh well, I just paid $170 out of pocket to goof around.

  • Is this a joke or you serious? This is little more than a kids toy. It is not a comuting vehicle! lead acid batteries need to be kept charged and at some point will need replacing. this is a fact you surely knew before purchase. My son and i have someting similar in the uk for messing about on ,wouldn't dream of commuting on it!!! If something breaks you repair it its part of the fun. Perhaps you should consider spending more on your ev if you intend commuting on it, not hacking on a kids TOY!

  • @johnjay1980

Now Johnjay, don't get all riled up for no reason. I did this as an experiment 2 years ago. No scooters were harmed during the making of this review. :)

  • dang you fat lol

  • @westevenisurman

Just in case the Earth's gravity somehow becomes compromised, I am ready for this event.

  • is xtreme x600 better than Ezip 1000 ?

  • @bboyat0m1c

Without having tested it, and just based on looks and based on comments I've read from other users, the Ezip 1000 is a better scooter overall than the x600.

  • oh thanks

  • Hi, I'm looking to buy an electric scooter and, although you said not to buy it I quite like the looks of it and I am only 12 so some things would work better for me because I am lighter. The only problem is I am from England and the only place you can seem to buy these things is in America. Do you know any websites or stores that would sell them in England? thanks. TJ

  • @TJB12345678910

Just do some google searching for electric scooters. Check out visforvolt(dot)org for good forums where guys can give you better advice on buying near your location.

  • Change the Batteries to a better and larger stronger batteries.... Change your Motor to a Brushless motor, so you can come up to 60 Km.

There are Hitrogen Powered Bicycles that can run 100 km's in 2 liters HHO.

I dont know when you have post this, but the world has moved on alot...

I still go for Electric, but the Very New ones.....

  • @Ebdan88

I posted this in 2008. That's when I purchased the scooter.

  • great man,thanks a lot.

  • @dragonkalbs

No problem. Hope you find what you're looking for.

  • how much is it..?

  • @themace111

I listed the price I paid in the review. I think it was around $300.

  • Hey! KsCustoms engineering here. I work with scooters a lot, and let me tell you, these X-treme scooters are NOT extreme at all. I do not reccomend any X-treme scooter. I work with things like this all the time, and all of these scooters are just plain junk. no offence to china, but they ARE chinese pieces of crap.

The customer service is also HORRIBLE. My friend had an x-400 (gas) and the whole experience is horrible. the rear disc brakes are horrible and last about a week before wearing....

  • @KsCustoms

Yes. I found the construction to be a bit shoddy. The metal was definitely not the hardest stuff in several spots. I can only imagine what this scooter would look like after 2 years of use. Not to mention the abuse a child/teen would give it.

  • miles?

  • @fairyheli2

I drove it over 100 miles during it's lifetime... I think.

  • I have the X-560. Great scooter, really powerful and fast.

  • @YoshiLover2012

    *Vroom*

  • You shoulda gotten a XB-700Li, I think You woulda been much more happy with the results.

  • @0605007837

I'm actually looking for another scooter to do a review on. I promise to do a better job and have a better mic this time.

  • i'm a complete noob and was wondering how to start it, charge it and use it...

    thanks

    its either old or rusty...

  • @98nfsmw98

I hope the video helped you with those questions.

  • How does it go uphill?

  • @MyStuff774

It goes a bit slower than down hill, that's for sure. I think it went about 12 mph up the hills I have around here. I only have moderate hills.

  • nice video i liked how u told about it

  • @bronxkid9

    Thank you.

  • the e300 razor electric scooter is a good scooter

  • do u know anything about the x-treme x-562 electric scooter. If you do please write back.

  • @ufo5966

I have no knowledge of the 562, maybe someone will do a video review of it? I'm actually thinking about giving another electric scooter a try (probably one bigger in size, like an electric moped).

  • @billremnant please refit the batteries with lithium sulfate...a little dear but would drastically improve the ride performance, weight , and distance of the scooter

  • @MrAdskeez

Sold the scooter, and lithium polymer batteries were a bit too expensive for that rig.

  • oh just go to walmart online or in store and get a razor e300 with seat its very use ful i go shopping with it

  • u should of got the gas one its the same price

  • @VEARKING

I just wanted something that didn't kick out a noxious exhaust and burned oil products.

  • Why didn't you get a moped? Probably perfect for you. 120 mpg. My 25 year old Honda Rebel motorcycle gets 80mpg, but then it does 80mph and is a full motorbike.

  • @cobrachoppergirl

I was trying to avoid any fossil fuel reliance with this experiment. I'd love to have a vehicle that I knew wasn't spitting out any pollutants at all while I was beaming around town.

  • @billremnant who are yo trying to impress?

  • @HEMAS13

No one. I just wanted to do a review of the scooter since I was unable to find out anything about these things with my research before buying.

  • hey do you know where i can get a charger at please tell me if theres a store that sells them

  • @KidCash994

I would just search for an electric scooter dealer on Google and get in touch with them about a spare charger. You could also contact the scooter manufacturer for ideas.

  • Stupid question, but can you still ride it like a regular scooter by pushing with your foot? Thanks!!

  • @Asgard222

Not a stupid question. This was something I was hoping would be possible before I bought it (in case the battery ran out, I would hopefully be able to use it like a regular scooter), but the resistance from the motor made it near impossible. It was easier to just walk and push it.

After I installed the free wheel clutch to the rear tire, it was easier to use as a typical scooter, but the thing weighed between 60-70 lbs, so it was still cumbersome.

  • Well i have one thing to say...but before you read it...let me know if the charger that comes with it is a smart charger...ok so if it is....its not that hard....as soon as you done put it in your house/garage and connect the charger...NOT THAT HARD...please comment...im looking into the Super Turbo 800-Elite...i hear it has better batteries and a larger motor!!

  • @nicks1258

If by smart charger you mean that it stops charging once the batteries reach full change, then yes.

  • hi ive got the 800watt 48v its got 4 batterys and im 12stone it does 26mph on a flat and goes for bout 30miles before it needs charging the more you use it the better the baterys last as they have a memory i use it every day to get to work which is 16miles away then charge it there ive put a smaller sprocket on the back and bigger 1 on the motor dont thighten the back wheel to much as ive found this crushs the bearings and slows it down ive also put off road a nobbly tire on the back for grip

  • @beamo32

That sounds like a nice setup. Are you using lithium polymer batteries?

  • I live in michigan

  • @Thingsthatgoboom97

6 Months of winter 6 months of whatever else.

  • this was helpful thanks

  • i just buy gas scooter and i am almost 15 so can i ride it on side walks slow ???

  • @swiderskidominik

In certain places you probably could, but watch out for pedestrians.

  • Great review, thanks!

  • how fast is it

  • @Paperheartful

I believe the max speed was around 20mph.. but that was down hill... around 16-17mph on flat grade.

  • i want one lol i intend to sell my mountain bike and buy one

  • @09hudsond

Keep your mountain bike. You'll need it when your scooter breaks down :)

  • can this scooter be plugged into a socket?

  • @georgejellycow

It comes with a power pack that you plug into a regular electrical socket.

  • Did it slow down going up steep hills? I live on the top of a large hill (takes 10-15 mins to walk up and down to town) So i am interested in an electric bike or scooter.

  • @JamesGod08

Yes. I slowed down to around 10-12 mph on steeper hills around my place.

  • you bought a x-600 but it came with x-500 parts

  • @MrPhil97

x-500 is very similar and shares several parts with the x600, but the x600 has a different suspension system.

  • nice job not gunna buy one no more thanks

  • i have an ebike, its a mountain bike with a hubmotor. it has only 6 gears but you can also get exersize with it and peddal along. it also has light lithium battery. i can get up to about 30km/h without peddaling. not sure what that is in miles.

  • @steviebboy69

That sounds like a better setup. Being able to peddle if your battery is low or if you want some exercise is a great alternative.

  • very good work, i ll get the one with 1000 W on tuesday, i also will make a review of it, hope you ll watch it

  • @xXDavePCTutorialXx

I know there would be thousands who would appreciate your review. I hope you have fun with it.

  • i think this is an excellent review and found it very helpful. thank you.

  • hey man what Electric scooter would you recommend that's on the market?

  • @st3nkobe

I can't recommend any. I haven't been able to test any others. I may try to in the near future, if something nice comes out. I have been leaning more towards technology like the PUMA from GM/Segway. The 2 seater rickshaw thing. I would love to tool around town in that.

  • Just wanted to say this scooter comes in different versions and setups.

I have one with a key activated switch and a very different front suspension system complete with wavy/drilled disc brakes front and back.

    Speed is 20-23mph and I weigh 8.8Stone

So far reliability/sturdyness is good, but brakes need daily adjustment due to slight warp in disk

Great fun, and WOULD recommend but check on the legality of using one in your area.

Only issue is riding one handed to indicate, becomes unstable

  • the funniest part about people trying to go "green" is the fact that they almost 80% of the time, do more harm than good lmao.. Think about all the energy used to mine the materials, build it, ship it across the ocean from China where it would get shipped probably.. 4 more times until its in the buyers hands, the buyer then uses it for how long? He then buys more parts which requires more shipping, needs new batteries.. THEN it will just sit in his garage until some day it gets recycled/garbage

  • @IndIka024

This is a good observation. But once things are refined and figured out in the next few years, I think it will be a more viable alternative to fossil fuels.

  • very nice review

  • how fast can it reach maximum ?? PLZ answer me

  • @44joker55

I posted that in the video... or at least I talked about it. I remember it being around 17mph on a flat grade and around 21 or 22 mph down a hill.

  • try it with lipo cells,, it will be fun :)

  • @Ockelbot

I wanted to try it with lithium polymer batteries, but the price was a bit high for my wallet. The scooter wasn't worth lipol batteries in my opinion, it would have fallen apart after another year or two based on the shoddy construction.

  • thanks for the review

  • thanks a lot

  • this video or youtube suck bigtime every 3 seconds theres a pauase

  • @narcovice

I have problems running Youtube videos at times also. Maybe Google needs to commit more bandwidth to this so we don't have that problem.

  • oh and good review I never seen reviews as good as this for this type of thing

  • your big mistake was getting electric

  • an ugly scooter.

  • nice vid if scooters arn't for you then you should get a electric bike there very good. you can peddle and use throttle and cruise around at high speeds. i live in australia so don't know any good brands but try ebay there about 900 AU not sure about US. there great because you can go up hills and just peddle up and have the motor going (it feels like your on the flat).

  • Great job. Like a pro. Thank you for your efforts and videos. Well done. : )

  • @numademan Thanks. I should redo the audio though. It is horrible, but I just haven't taken the time to fix it.

  • @johnv500 I saw that several of the components to this scooter would eventually wear out within a year or two. The wheels especially. I probably hauled around 240 lbs tops on this thing on 3-4 mile routes. The higher end scooters would last longer due to better components.

  • @Warganic646

It came stock with disc brakes. I switched out the rear disc brake for a drum style brake so I could put a free-wheel clutch on it. It worked out better for my needs. The old disc brake was not centered right and would rub the brake pads (which would cause friction and wear the battery down faster).

  • im geting a this scooter for x-mas does the charger die if you over charge?

  • @PizzaHutFan1 As far as I know, you cannot over charge it. The charger detects a full charge and shuts off. If the charger malfunctioned, the batteries would be under warranty (but their warranty was only 60 or 90 days from time of purchase when I got it).

  • i can go faster than 15mph on my bicycle

  • Sure on a touring bike 15mph would be fairly easy to maintain, but you'd be tired and sweaty.

I road this to work and I didn't want to be a mess when I got there.

  • get a gas scooter way better

  • That's fine, but the whole idea of this "experiment" was to not be as reliant on fossil fuels. Albeit I would have been dependent on coal since that's what provides most of our electrical needs here in the US.

  • i recomend ezip 400. get it at pepboyz.

  • i'm 10 and i have had mine 2 years and it works perfect and can go up 2 10 miles

  • this is the suckiest scooter ever im a master at riding a scooter and mines is way freakikg fast

  • hey mines isnt a word stupid and mine can go28-37mph stupid i got a faster one

  • @l0lrightnow There are all kinds of scooters out there. Some go faster, and have better batteries. Choose wisely.

  • we have the same shoes.

  • so my question is i want to buy a scooter what would you rekomend for me x-treme x-500 or x-treme

  • lead acid batteries dont last long, your distance will drop by half or more, after a month and half or so of high use.
